Alexandra Grecco, one of our favorite bridal brands known for its on-trend and classic pieces, debuted its Poppy Collection during Spring 2022 Bridal Fashion Week, and it’s now available to shop on Over The Moon! We’ve long loved the label’s designs, like the pearl robe Vogue Bride Amanda Vaughn wore to get ready for her wedding. And we’re delighted that Poppy is an assortment of made-to-order, mix-and-match pieces that are designed with wedding weekend events and civil and smaller ceremonies in mind. One of the best parts? All pieces are sustainably produced and designed in New York City’s Garment District.
Drawing inspiration from vintage civil ceremony imagery, Poppy is also an homage to ’60s fashion. “As wedding ceremonies often became smaller in 2020, I grew intrigued by the idea of expanding the scope of our offerings to accommodate these intimate affairs,” designer and founder Alexandra Grecco says. The made-to-order collection, ranging from $750-$1,500 includes a large selection of silhouettes like a smart blazer, cape-style sheath, and A-line mini dress.
“The Sona Blazer Dress and the Odette Midi are fantastic choices for a city hall ceremony,” Grecco says. The dresses feel special and incredibly luxe in silk satin mikado or floral brocade fabrications, while also remaining appropriate for a paired-back affair. Add a silk crepe headband, made from excess fabric, to stylishly accessorize the look.
Having a backyard garden wedding? Grecco recommends the Leila Dress or the Delilah Dress paired with the Delfina Cape—she especially loves these pieces in the lace fabrication. Pair either of these looks with the silk satin crepe hair tie to complete the look.
And if you’re looking for bridal shower look, the Dali Dress or the Imogen Top and Pant set are super fun options. And the hand-embroidered headband adds a little bit of texture and unexpected detail to these timeless looks.
