Luxury bridal house AMSALE has recently unveiled its Spring 2021 Nouvelle Amsale and Little White Dress collections, along with evening and bridesmaid offerings. With COVID-19 crisis continuing to impact the fashion industry, AMSALE has adapted to a model that includes virtual appointments, Zoom press meetings, and a broader use of the virtual try-on feature that initially rolled out earlier this year.
With a lot of states shut down, design director Margo Lafontaine and chief creative officer Sarah Swann commissioned real-life married couples isolated together to create out-of-the-box collection imagery. Angela and Asio Highsmith and Broadway star Laura Osnes and photographer Nathan Johnson were sent pieces from both collections and tasked with putting their own personal spin on intimate-wedding moments. The results are what you see above in the slideshow.
Nouvelle Amsale
Inspired by confident brides, each gown in this collection has a statement piece, whether that be an origami-inspired bow, sheer embroidered back, or graphic florals. “The collection feels fresh and light,” Lafontaine says. And, garden motifs give the gowns a feminine feel without being too obvious.
Little White Dress
The LWD collection features new silhouettes in familiar fabrics, such as AMSALE’s signature faille. The team also introduced Duchess satin in the form of a wide-leg, sheath dress, and strapless jumpsuit. And, the off-the-shoulder mikado shift can take a bride from the ceremony all the way through to the after-party.
