We of course had to ask if this is something soon-to-be engaged couples usually do together. “Some come to us in secret, ready to surprise their loved one with a piece full of hidden meaning,” Cece shares. “Others arrive as a couple, bringing their ideas and memories to life together.”

During this first appointment, they will uncover the details that make your love story unique, along with the hopes you have for the ring: diamond preference and the meaningful symbols you’d like included.

“Whether it’s the celestial constellations from the night you met, a treasured place captured in miniature, or symbols of your journey together, every design is created with the same level of artistry and storytelling that defines Cece Jewellery,” she says. As for the gems, they source stones in any shape from 2-carats and higher. From there, master artisans bring your story to life through Cece’s hand-drawn sketches, allowing you to see your dream ring take shape.

After the design is perfected and approved, the team’s goldsmiths and enamelers get to work and make the sketches tangible. They meticulously craft the ring, setting the finest diamonds and delicately painting the enamel by hand. It’s a months-long endeavor that takes painstaking precision and tender patience. “Our signature use of champlevé enamelling, an ancient technique where rich pigment is painted into delicate gold recesses, allows us to create vibrant, enduring colours that never fade, designed to be treasured and worn every day,” Cece notes.

When asked what their favorite bespoke engagement ring is, Cece had to think before deciding on one truly special ring with a 2.5-carat oval diamond in the center. “Nestled around it, delicate hand-painted enamel details told a deeper story: a butterfly and a mountain, each chosen with purpose,” she remembers. “Together, they spoke of two unlikely souls, opposites in spirit, yet perfectly balanced and drawn together by fate to create something rare, grounded, and free.”
