Danielle Frankel Spring 2020 Bridal

By Patricia Garcia

For her spring 2020 collection, Danielle Frankel presented several intriguing new options for brides who want to skip the classic wedding dress and go for something a little more fashion forward. Instead of traditional ball gowns and A-line skirts, Frankel offered brides off-the-shoulder, pleated balloon sleeves, a backless, minimal, long-sleeve satin dress, and a two-dimensional tuxedo mini dress that seems made with a City Hall ceremony in mind. Never want to stick with the conventional, Frankel also ventured into creating a bridal utility coat (inspired by a vintage jacket she found at an Army Navy surplus store) and cream-colored knitwear for those practical women who might want to re-wear their bridal pieces well after their wedding day is over. As for the most daring look in this collection of 28 designs, the prize goes to the cropped sweater with a see-through, mid-riff revealing panel, which seems like just the kind of thing someone like Hailey Baldwin would instantly add to her shopping list.
