Emilia Wickstead’s Spring 2025 and RTW Bridal Collections are now on Over The Moon, and to celebrate, the designer and CEO of her namesake brand curated her Dream Registry. Emilia and Daniel Gargiulo wed in Italy more than a decade before the Over The Moon Registry existed. The Catholic ceremony took place in Montepulciano, followed by a magical outdoor reception at Villa La Foce. Emilia recalls, “It was always our dream to get married in Tuscany.”
Today, the West London–based designer describes her aesthetic as “modern yet traditional, uniquely timeless, and sophisticated.” She goes on to say, “I’m a strong believer in the power of getting dressed and talk about it often, so I’d have to say, dress up—whatever the definition of this means to you. Formal or casual with a twist, so long as you feel strong, comfortable and I always think powerful and transformative. This is what dressing up feels like for me. We all need a touch of escapism, confidence, empowerment and excitement from dressing.”
Emilia approaches the design of her spaces in the same way as her collections—”by marrying nostalgia with contemporary,” she shares. “This is reflected in our store on Sloane Street and also in my home, creating a timeless aesthetic mostly inspired by Milanese architecture.”
When it comes to merging her and her husband’s styles, they’re aligned on the aspects of comfort and old world. “He doesn’t love contemporary like I do,” Emilia reveals. “That’s our tricky spot!”
For Emilia’s Dream Registry, she thrives off of classic and tradition—items that can stand the test of time, particularly silverware and silver frames. “It isn’t just for the moment,” she says of the registry. “These items become forever items that always lead you back to the moment you said I do!”
The CEO leaves us with important advice for couples making their own Over The Moon Registries: “I would always advise to lean into the traditional and old world to stand the test of time, but make sure you use them every day and not just for special occasions. This is what my husband and I do. We appreciate each and every single item daily and the art of appreciating special items.”
