Over the weekend, Jennifer Lopez got engaged to long-time boyfriend Alex Rodriguez while on vacation. The couple shared identical posts on Instagram of Lopez’s ridiculously large emerald cut diamond ring, which experts have estimated could be worth between one to five million dollars. But this being Jennifer Lopez and all, this, of course, isn’t the first time the superstar has been presented with a spectacular sparkler.

In 2016, Lopez admitted during a Carpool Karaoke episode that while she had been married three times, she had actually been proposed to five times before. “I’ve had some amazing proposals,” she said to host James Corden. “I don’t want to compare one to another, they were all pretty spectacular.” The same could be said about her multiple engagement rings. While most people are lucky enough to be presented with one ring during their lifetime, Lopez has been giving Elizabeth Taylor a run for her money with her growing collection of engagement jewelry. Let’s take a look back, shall we?

Ring #1

In 1997, just as her career was taking off, J.Lo got engaged to waiter Ojani Noa, who reportedly proposed with a $100,000 marquis-cut diamond ring. The two were married for a little over a year before they ultimately divorced.

A few years later, J.Lo fell for back up dancer Cris Judd. She met him while filming the video for her song, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” Like A-Rod, Judd also proposed with an emerald-cut diamond ring, although this one was significantly smaller than the current one Jenny is sporting on her finger today. Their marriage lasted less than a year.

Ring #3

By the time she split from Judd in 2002, Lopez was hot and heavy with her Gigli co-star Ben Affleck and the now infamous hashtag #bennifer was born. Affleck popped the question after only a few months of dating with a stunning 6.1-carat Harry Winston pink diamond ring, which reportedly set the actor back an estimated $2.5 million. The two planned to marry in Santa Barbara, California, but Affleck reportedly backed out of the wedding four days before. More than a decade later, J.Lo said on the Today Show that her breakup with Affleck was her “first big heartbreak.”

The couple once known as Bennifer.

Ring #4

After her very public split from Affleck, Lopez didn’t stay single for very long. In 2004, she married longtime friend Marc Anthony, who proposed with an 8.5-carat blue cushion cut diamond ring, which was reportedly worth $4 million. (Her rings just kept getting bigger and bigger!) The two singers were married for seven years and had twins, Max and Emme. They remain close friends and collaborators.

Ring #5

Lopez said she had enjoyed five proposals during her lifetime before A-Rod surprised her this past weekend by asking her to marry him, so technically there may be one engagement ring that the world has never seen. While that failed engagement attempt will likely always remain a mystery, for now we can look forward to her upcoming nuptials with A-Rod. We’re confident it’ll be one for the books!
