To mark Monique Lhuillier’s impressive 25 years in business, the designer is having fun with glitz and glamour for Fall 2022 ready-to-wear. Showcased in an opulent pied-à-terre in Paris, the collection embodied the brand’s signature romance. It came chock-full of celebratory joie de vivre, as seen in the frothy tulle gowns, nonchalantly draped chiffon dresses, and 3-D florals scattered throughout. 

The new evening standard also called for marabou feathers and sequins galore, along with rich velour, crepe-back satin, and guipure lace. The color palette ran the gamut, from a frivolously plumed pink ballgown to a powder-blue confection with impossible lightness. Grace Kelly fans will recognize the latter as a pitch-perfect homage to the starlet in To Catch a Thief, replete with a matching cape. 

The designer even revived a dress from a past collection after she recently wore it to her birthday bash. The look made such a splash, that it became the inspiration for Fall 2022. The latest iteration is proof that women are ready to revel in the joy of dressing up again.

The Fall 20202 ready-to-wear collection will be available to purchase at Monique Lhuillier in mid-2022.
