Virginia-based artist Riley Sheehey is no stranger to Over The Moon’s readers. Her illustrations have appeared in many OTM weddings, and she’s noted as one of our long-time favorite illustrators. Most recently, she’s collaborated with us to release a limited edition capsule collection of one-of-a-kind, hand-painted Peterboro picnic baskets that make the most splendid gifts.
The two pieces are inspired by Riley’s own proposal story—her husband popped the question with a Peterboro picnic basket. And years later, she experimented with painting on non-paper surfaces and found her way to the wooden baskets again.
The Floral Picnic Basket is adorned with feminine and intricate acrylic flowers, and the Bowood Picnic Basket (which has unfortunately already sold out) is a reimagined design with Colefax & Fowler’s Bowood flowers, creating the perfect piece for alfresco dining or display at home. Shop above!
