Sleeper Debuts Its Wedding Line With Options for the Whole Weekend

By Shayna Seid

The label behind your favorite chic pajamas-turned-cocktail-attire, Sleeper, is launching into wedding fashion with its new Bridal Pre-Spring 2020 collection, available starting today. Brides have been wearing the “World’s First Walking Sleepwear” to get ready in their bridal suites (a la Selby Drummond), greet guests at welcome parties and rehearsal dinners, and see everyone off at farewell brunches for a while, so a collection solely dedicated to ceremony styles, wedding weekend wardrobe pieces, and even bridesmaid options is downright necessary at this point.

The line ranges from pearl, silk garments to casual, everyday dresses. And to accessorize, Sleeper has added a “Whitewing” cape and iconic long white gloves into the mix (also available in a light rose color).

“Character and beauty are what we expect from the dress first of all, but we also seek multi-functionality,” brand creator Katya Zubarieva explains. And as always, Sleeper supports artisan-manufacturing traditions—to that end, behind each garment is a dedicated professional who handworks on the item for six-to-eight hours.

The central design in the collection is a late ’90s-inspired slip maxi dress with a cowl neckline—it comes in a luminous pearl white silk or white linen and gives off major Kate Moss during the Johnny Depp years vibes. Below, see the full Sleeper Bridal Pre-Spring 2020 collection:
