Our Favorite Wedding Inspiration From Milan Fashion Week Spring 2020

By Shayna Seid

Just as soon as London Fashion Week ended, it’s on to the next fashion capital . . . luckily, this one has great pasta! Milan kicked off with a strong start at Moschino show, and we’re predicting many more fun bridal fashion moments to come. Check back throughout MFW for the most recent updates to our list of favorites.

Moschino SS20 RTW Collection

Jeremy Scott loves to have Gigi Hadid close his Moschino shows whilst wearing a veil. At his Spring 2019 show, Gigi made headlines as the “Moschino bride” in her bubble dress and long veil, carried by butterflies. This year, the collection was dedicated to Picasso, and the model walked down the runway last wearing a ruched dress with an oversized-bow-looking silhouette and a veil. We’re not sure it will end up down any real life aisles, but the inspiration is surely there. Aside from the final dress, Moschino brought out larger-than-life pieces inspired by art and the frames they’re displayed in. The tamest look—a white and blue floral number—would actually be really nice at a bridal luncheon.

MM6 Maison Margiela SS20 RTW Collection

Marriage was the theme, and MM6 ran with it. There was tulle, tulle, and more tulle. Veils were worn by some models, while others sported white gloves for a total look. The pieces themselves can be worn for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, and after-parties, but we’re loving the all-around vibes of this show.

Attico SS20 RTW Collection

The after-party edit is basically what we’re seeing from Attico’s latest collection; it’s fun and sexy and makes us want to dance. For a standout bride who wants to let loose at the later half of her reception, these looks are your jam!

Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini SS20 RTW Collection

The ’80s inspired Lorenzo’s collection this season, and while we’re loving the strong-shouldered look. His prints are what really made us swoon. With soft, feminine florals, looks that went down the runway are perfect for wedding festivities.

Etro SS20 RTW Collection

The bohemian collection from Etro this season gave us a lot to work with. We saw a ton of honeymoon looks go down the runway, and now we want to jet off somewhere fun stat. The haute hippie heritage of the brand is shown in full force, and while somewhat casual for a ceremony, the pieces are great for destination events.
