Bridal and demi-couture designer Alexandra Pijut, who made her debut on Over The Moon in 2023 and just released her latest Spring 2025 Bridal Collection, is getting married this April in Georgia. Five years after she and investment banker Adam Schroeder matched on Bumble, he proposed in Charleston with one of the first love letters he had ever written to her. And ahead of her walk down the aisle—in a self-designed custom creation that nods to her own mother’s wedding dress and her relationship with Adam—Alexandra is sharing her Dream Registry with us:
“I’m drawn to all things whimsical with a thread of traditionalism, which I try to bring into my home aesthetic,” the designer shares. “I love pieces that are unique and have interesting details yet still feel timeless.” Alexandra finds it easiest to choose an antique or strong piece to design a room around and quotes Mark D. Sikes and Casa Gusto as constant inspirations. “I’m no interior designer, but I think that mixing and matching styles usually creates a more interesting result—some antiques, some new pieces, bringing in items that feel right together and make you happy rather than sticking to one specific theme or color story. Sometimes adding something funky and unexpected can transform a room.”
Since Alexandra and Adam already live together in Manhattan, they’ve had some time to combine their modern and eclectic tastes. “Sometimes it’s better to find a piece you love and just bring it home rather than discussing it beforehand!” Alexandra laughs.
Right now, the bridal designer explains that she’s very into a palette of green and brown. “My must-haves are the Ginori pieces in the Bario colorway, the Juliska Country Estate serving platter in Flint, the Bettina brown, gingham placemats and napkins by Flying Sheep Country, and anything from the Talbot Manor collection by Salisbury,” she says of her Dream Registry. “The Juliska Country Estate collection speaks to me because it reminds me of my childhood home. Everything is very nature-focused and I grew up riding horses, so having pieces for daily use that remind me of home feels really special. I also love that you can play into the soft brown or create a vibrant, colorful tablescape with the same dishes—the collection feels very versatile to me.”
Moving into the kitchen, Alexandra set her sights on a stainless steel set. “I am in love with the Precious Metals Pan Set by Great Jones,” she gushes. “I love the sleek, minimalist design of the pots and pans, and the mixed metals let you have more design freedom in the kitchen and not worry about clashing finishes.”
Lastly, Alexandra shouts out Fieldbar cooler boxes. “I am truly obsessed with the Fieldbar Drinks Box. This would make such a great gift!” she exclaims. “I love the fact that it is tall enough to hold wine bottles, yet doesn’t feel clunky like a typical cooler.”
The designer leaves us with her own advice to couples making their Over The Moon Registries: “It’s important to be thoughtful about what you add to the registry and select items that you will enjoy for a long time. I think it can be easy to go wild and add things that just one person likes, but the pieces should be a reflection of the wants/needs of both you and your partner as a couple.”
