What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon Registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Some time after content creator and Skin by Ella Founder Ella McFadin and James Hanbury-Williams, the head of wholesale and retail at ARMRA, matched on Raya, they ventured on a first date to Chez Ma Tante for Sunday brunch, followed by drinks at Hole in the Wall. “He then went to jump on a Revel after walking me to the train, and I said, ‘Oh fun, I have never been on one of those’—a lie hehe—and then I got on the backseat,” she remembers. “We took the Revel to Bushwick and had another round of drinks at Roberta’s. He then walked me to the train and gave me a kiss.”

After three-and-a-half years together, James proposed upstate, while the two were checking on their home renovations in Livingston Manor. He arranged for Cedar Lakes Estate—one of Ella’s favorite spots—to reach out and invite the couple for a stay. “Almost immediately after walking out the door, we got down to the water, and he got on one knee,” Ella smiles. James designed the ring gold ring with a pear-cut diamond himself with a close friend. “I could definitely feel his nerves and had an idea, but it was the most special moment of my life! The winter snow also made it so dreamy and white.”

Earlier this year, the pair legally wed in a civil ceremony in her hometown of Laguna Beach, before they head down the aisle in France this September. “Think clean lines, and neutral tones softened by natural textures, vintage details, and a hint of playful charm,” Ella says of the wedding’s aesthetic. “It’s a storybook atmosphere where simplicity meets countryside magic.” And early on her wedding planning checklist was creating an Over The Moon Dream Registry…

The Brooklyn-based creator has her city apartment and her Upstate New York space, and the two are completely different vibes. The 1940s home’s interiors are all about preserving its original charm. “The style there leans more farmhouse and cottagecore, with vintage finds, soft patterns, and lived-in materials that feel like they belong. It’s a space that invites you to slow down and settle in.”

“Curating our Dream Registry has been such a joy,” Ella smiles. “These Over The Moon pieces are true standouts I can’t stop thinking about to complete our Catskills home: The Speckled Pitcher, [for everything] from morning OJ to wildflower stems from the backyard, the Oriente Italiano Teapot [for] slow mornings by the window—it’s bold, classic, and adds just the right pop of color and charm—and the Salt & Pepper Mill Set, [which] feel like heirlooms already and will look perfect on our antique wooden kitchen island.”

Merging styles with James has been one of the most rewarding parts of creating their home together. “He’s from England and has a deep love for traditional countryside aesthetics,” Ella explains. “I grew up in California, where interiors were a bit more relaxed and modern. When we started working on our upstate cottage, it naturally became this really special fusion of both our styles. He brought in these grounded, heritage-inspired elements, and I balanced that with a bit of that breezy, West Coast sensibility. He has a lot of ideas and opinions, which I really appreciate—it’s made the process feel more collaborative, and I think the end result reflects both of us.”

Ella leaves us with advice for other couples making their Over The Moon Registries: “Have fun with it! It’s easy to get caught up in the ‘shoulds’: What you should register for, what’s practical, what’s timeless. But the truth is, people are choosing these gifts for you, and they want it to feel joyful and personal. Don’t be afraid to add those special pieces that make you smile—like that stunning teapot or those pepper mills you’ll use every weekend. The things you’ll look at years later and say, ‘Remember when we picked this out together?’”
