Good Morning America has confirmed the news of Gwyneth Paltrow and Glee co-creator Brak Falchuk’s engagement with a joint statement from the couple that read:
“We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship.”
GMA also said that the actress and the producer will appear together on the cover of an upcoming issue of GOOP magazine, which hits stands on Tuesday. In addition to posing for the black and white cover shoot, the two reportedly discuss their love and how thrilled they are about taking this next big step together.
Luckily, the actress who famously (or infamously, depending on your point of view) coined the term “consciously uncoupling” doesn’t have to worry about navigating an uncomfortable meeting between her new fiancé and her ex, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. According to People.com (and Paltrow’s own social media accounts), Falchuk has already been embraced by Paltrow’s family. In November, the actress shared a photo on Instagram of Martin and Falchuk hanging out with the caption “Sunday brunch #modernfamily,” and both men were all smiles. In that case, Mazel Tov to the entire fam!
