What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon Registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.
Founder of Camp Social and Hot and Social Liv Schreiber went viral when she started an online series talking about the handsome neighbor she met in her West Village building’s elevator. Little did she know, three years later, he’d end up proposing to her, and they’d be planning an August wedding in Connecticut together with Over The Moon Editor’s Pick Planner Victoria Dubin Events.
Ahead of the Tribeca-based bride-to-be’s trip down the aisle, she curated a Dream Registry to reflect her aesthetic that she describes as “the One&Only in Australia meets Clic in Tribeca. I like my style like I like my love life—sophisticated with a little pizzazz, grounded in warmth, and always with a good story behind it.”
She started by strategically adding an Over The Moon Exclusive stay at Wildflower Farms, as that’s where she wants to mini-moon! Then, she shifted to pieces to elevator her interiors. “Because even Carrie Bradshaw knew the best accessory is a fun night at home with your favorite people…laughing,” Liv smiles. “You want great decor for a great, fun, New York City social life.”
When Liv decorates her spaces, she always starts with a moodboard. “I mix vintage stylish finds with earthy pieces, sprinkle in some warm tones, and then text my best friend who’s an interior designer to make sure I’m not going off the rails. I usually am,” she laughs. “Decorating for me is less about rules and more about the vibe—like, ‘Can I host a girls’ night here and would someone fall in love under that Etsy fixture?’”
And does Kyle Shaub, her corporate litigator fiancé, have any design say? “Kyle once tried to get a neon beer sign over our bed that said, ‘AUTOMATIC.’ I politely suggested it could live in the garage…if we had one,” Liv laughs. “But really, we’ve made it work. He brings the encouragement, I bring the curation. Now our place looks like us—which is to say, cozy, warm, and slightly camera-ready at all times. A basketball hoop hangs on the entry wall. It’s cool.”
Liv leaves us with her first-hand advice for couples making their Over The Moon Registries now: “Register for the life you actually live…and the one you hope to grow into. Mix the daily essentials with the dreamy indulgences. And if you’re anything like me, send it all to your parents’ home because lord KNOWS we don’t have closet space with a growing wedding wardrobe. ”
