Does three make a trend? When it comes to the recent batch of quick celebrity engagements, the answer seems like a resounding yes. In the heels of Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber’s lightning speed betrothments, this morning, People announced actress Priyanka Chopra, 36, and singer Nick Jonas, 25, were engaged after two months of dating. A source closed to the couple shared the news, saying Jonas recently closed down a Tiffany store in order to buy his girlfriend an engagement ring. (Sorry Nick, seems like your stab at discretion did not work this time around!)

The couple were first seen together at the 2017 Met Gala, when they both attended as guests of designer Ralph Lauren. The two remained in touch but then things really heated up this past May after they started seeing each other exclusively, going on dates around New York and Los Angeles, and meeting each other’s families in New Jersey and India.

Late on Thursday, Indian director Ali Abbas Zafar hinted that Chopra was about to share some big news in a cryptic Tweet explaining why the actress was no longer involved with his film, Bharat. “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of [Bharat] and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her.” The couple has yet to confirm or deny the engagement news.
