Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.
Interior designer Rosemary Miller recently said, “I do,” to William Spiller in an elevated Texas hometown wedding, planned by Over The Moon Top Planner and Photographer Augusta Cole and Corbin Gurkin. After her Dallas nuptials with a dream team of vendors, we asked Rosemary to share her Dream Registry picks with us for her home in Sun Valley, Idaho.
As reflected in her wedding’s design, Rosemary describes her aesthetic as “happy, warm, and classic.” She adds, “My style is truly ever evolving, but one thing that has remained constant is my love of color and pattern.”
When it comes to interiors, creating a happy home is her top priority. “Being from the south, I am very used to being around color and pattern in everyone’s homes,” Rosemary explains. “When I moved to Sun Valley, the general aesthetic is to have a slightly more mountain modern vibe, so I really try to marry those two styles in some capacity.”
Where does an interior designer turn to for inspiration? “Being from Dallas, I was able to be around some pretty amazing and inspiring people in the design world. Cathy Kincaid is at the top of my list, not only because I had the pleasure of working for her, but the way she is able to layer pattern is truly remarkable,” Rosemary shares. “Lisa Fine is also so inspiring to me; she creates the most unique textiles.”
When Rosemary created her own wedding registry, she had already been a homeowner for a few years, so the essentials were already taken care of. “However, new cutlery was at the top of my list,” she says. “It is something you use daily and mine needed a refresh. I also really wanted some fun dinnerware to help motivate me to cook and entertain more.”
Speaking of entertaining, Rosemary added the Zafferano table lamps and shades to her Over The Moon Dream Registry. “These lamps are incredibly versatile,” she states. “They provide the perfect amount of light for an intimate dinner, game night, or work-from-home moment. The shades add that extra special touch, and it is so fun that you can swap them out.”
The interior designer leaves us with key advice for couples creating their Over The Moon Registries: “I ended up going with the ‘things I want and don’t necessarily need approach.’ In doing so, all the items I have received ended up getting daily use, and my house has never looked better. I think when doing your registry, it’s important to remember that, yes, it is important to have practical aspects to your registry, but with options as fun as Over The Moon offers, it’s a great opportunity to go a little out of the box with your selections. Also, do not be afraid to add a lot of items to your registry, it makes it fun for your guests to shop and then you get to be somewhat surprised by the items that are purchased. Because on the alternate side of things, whenever I am buying my friends something off their registry, I always try to select the special and happy item. You also do not need to buy the matching sets of items, it is so much fun to mix plates up.”
