Who Is Jessica Mulroney?

If you’ve been keeping up with news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding—and let’s face it, if you’re reading Over The Moon, you probably are—then the name Jessica Mulroney has probably popped up more than once.

But who is Jessica Mulroney and why is she so important when it comes to the royal wedding?

Let’s start with the basics. Jessica Mulroney is a Canadian stylist and wedding planner who first met Markle when the actress moved to Toronto to shoot her USA series, Suits. According to multiple reports, the two hit it off quickly and became close friends, even going on vacation together.

Aside from being Markle’s BFF, Mulroney keeps pretty busy. One of her most famous styling clients is Canadian First Lady, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. Aside from dressing famous faces, Mulroney also consults for the bridal brand Kleinfeld, regularly appears on Cityline, a daytime talkshow in Canada, and has recently been rumored to be Meghan’s secret unofficial wedding planner.

It’s no surprise Markle would trust Mulroney with handling the details of the biggest day of her life. Not only has she shown to be remarkably competent at her job—it’s also said that Mulroney has been helping Meghan sharpen up her royal style in the last few months—she’s also a trusted confidante of the future royal bride. Sources say Mulroney and her husband, Ben, were two of the first people to know about the secret romance between Prince Harry and Markle, and that it was at their house that Harry and Meghan sought shelter once news of their relationship was revealed to the world.

Aside from her busy career, Jessica is also raising three children, seven-year-old twins Brian and John, and a four-year-old daughter called Isabel, all of whom are confirmed to have a role in the wedding as page boys and flower girls.

According to a royal expert, Jessica has been helping Meghan with her wedding day look since January and been advising her since then. If come May 19th, Meghan’s wedding dress is anything like the sartorial choices we’ve been seeing recently, then we won’t be disappointed!
