The Italian tabletop label Ginori 1735 is a bestseller on Over The Moon, and for good reason. With more than 200 years of history behind it, this is a true heritage brand that simultaneously feels just as modern and relevant today as it did when it first began in the 18th century.
I never tire of spotting the subtle chinoiserie details in the Oriente Italiano pattern or the Greco-Roman–inspired Il Viaggio Di Nettuno print by British artist Luke Edward Hall whenever Over The Moon is tagged in Instagram Stories. I love seeing our team members sipping from their surprisingly capacious Florenza mug on our virtual meetings. And when I hear a couple used Ginori 1735 plates at their reception, I genuinely want to applaud them. I wish I had thought of that when I was planning my own wedding.

Naturally while working on Over The Moon, I often find myself imagining what I would do if something like the Over The Moon Registry existed when I was engaged . . . If I were a 2026 bride-to-be and could create my registry all over again, I know exactly what I would add first: 12 settings of Ginori 1735 Oriente Italiano in Pervinca.

Firstly, the pattern is timeless. It goes with everything I already have, providing ample mixing and matching possibilities. (A nuanced and layered tablescape is very important to me.) I want my pieces to be versatile enough that I can use them again and again over different occasions and events. That’s why Oriente Italiano is such a smart investment. I also love that Ginori 1735 pieces are the kind that will be passed down for generations to come and will be treasured for years to come. So to my children, you’re welcome in advance.
Secondly, whenever I meet OTM Couples, I always advise them to add more settings than they think they actually need. Don’t just do six or eight plates. Go for at least twelve. It may be hard to imagine hosting more than a few friends for dinner now, but once kids and extended family enter the picture, a holiday gathering can quickly grow to a dozen guests or more.
Lastly, creating your wedding registry is likely the only time in your life you’ll receive china as a gift. Trust me . . . I spend every birthday hoping and wishing, but that moment has passed. If I want more Ginori 1735, I have to get it for myself.
So, soon-to-be-marrieds, don’t miss the chance to register for the Ginori 1735 plates of my—and your—dreams.
