Professional golfer Akshay Bhatia first slid into influencer Presleigh Schultz’s Instagram DMs, when he was playing in a tournament in Texas, where she was living at the time. “He invited me to the tournament, and that’s where we met officially,” she explains.

After two-and-a-half years together, Akshay proposed before another tournament—this time in Napa Valley. Presleigh thought they were going to the rookies dinner, but he surprised her with a private tour of Amulet Estate instead. “We end the tour at the vineyards, where it’s just us two,” she recalls. “I remember I was picking a grape and turned around, and he was on one knee.”

Once engaged, the pair chose to get married at The Abaco Club, as it felt personal to their story. “The Bahamas holds a special place in our hearts,” Presleigh shares.  “It’s where Akshay earned his first professional win, and I was there caddying for him.” To bring their vision to life, the couple enlisted the help of Over The Moon Directory Planner Table 6 Productions, while Micah Cook and Emma K. Films expertly lensed every moment of the three-day celebration. Scripted Ever After set the tone with a beautiful invitation suite.

Presleigh approached her wedding wardrobe with an open mind and ended up with seven different looks. The main ceremony dress was a custom haute design by Vera Wang. “It was nothing like what I had originally pictured, but the craftsmanship, the material, and the detail made me feel like a bride instantly,” she says. “That dress completely changed the way I experienced wedding fashion and inspired me to really build out a thoughtful wedding wardrobe.

The weekend started with the rehearsal dinner look by Dana Harel, featuring a delicate neck scarf. The next night’s welcome party look was possibly the bride’s favorite outfit. Guests adhered to the all-white dress code yet Presleigh still stood out in a beaded dress, also by Dana Harel. That evening, she donned a Naeem Khan mini for the night glow golf event. “It felt perfectly on theme and had such beautiful movement,” Presleigh says. “When I swung a club, the dress moved with me, which made the night even more fun.”

On the day-of, the bride’s second look was more playful—a long, sheer fringed Valentini Sposa dress. “It was definitely more scandalous than what I usually wear, but it felt like the one night I could truly lean into something daring,” Presleigh says. But that wasn’t all, she ended the night in an Eisen Stein mini dress. And throughout the weekend, Glam on Location made sure she looked like the most beautiful version of herself.

While her fashion ranged, her jewelry stayed consistent. “I wore the same earrings for every event: my diamond stud earrings from Tiffany & Co., which Akshay gifted me the week before the wedding,” Presleigh explains. And on the welcome party evening, the groom surprised her with a 15-carat diamond tennis bracelet, which she added to her trousseau for all the remaining fêtes.

“Watching Akshay build his wedding wardrobe was really fun, especially because it’s rare to see him in anything other than golf clothes and a Callaway hat,” Presleigh smiles. For the wedding day, he worked closely with Elevee on a custom black and white tuxedo. “Inside the jacket, he had a collage of our photos sewn into the lining—something he was so excited to show me and completely kept secret. He paired it with classic black dress shoes by Christian Louboutin and wore a Daytona Rolex that he bought for himself after qualifying for the Tour Championship last season.”

On December 13, 2025, Presleigh walked down the hydrangea-lined aisle by Wildflowers Bahamas with her father to meet Akshay and her uncle, who officiated the service. A string quartet from The Falcons Entertainment set the romantic tone. “All morning, I was overwhelmed with emotion excitement, nerves, joy, and anticipation all at once,” the bride recalls. “But the second I reached the end of the aisle and stood face to face with Akshay, everything else melted away.”

After being announced as married, guests were invited to process into cocktail hour, where Moses Lin roamed the space with his acoustic guitar, setting the tone for the night’s festivities. Shortly after, the newlyweds moved into a transformed glass conservatory tent. “I remember joking with Akshay and saying, ‘Thank you for letting me have my girly flowers everywhere,’ because it truly felt like a dream brought to life,” Presleigh laughs.

She and Akshay took to the dance floor after a delicious dinner for their first dance to “Devotion” by Justin Bieber. Then, the band from Tropics Entertainment kept the energy high, but the bride’s favorite part of the evening was when her groom pulled her away from the revelry for a quiet moment alone together. “It felt grounding and intimate in the most beautiful way, and it reminded me that beneath all the celebration, the heart of the day was simply the two of us choosing each other,” she reflects.

The after-party kicked off at the club’s beach tiki bar, Flippers. Hot dogs, pizza, and ice cream kept people fueled and relaxed. “What surprised me most was how calm and perfect it felt,” Presleigh shares. “Most after-parties are all about turning things up, and I honestly envisioned something a little more wild, but this was even better. After an entire week of celebrating, this felt like a collective exhale. Guests were sitting in the sand, talking, laughing, watching the kids play on the beach, and just enjoying being together.”
