Alexandra Riffle, who works in marketing at HubSpot, was Ean Weaver’s first-ever online date. “He now jokes that Bumble has a 100% success rate,” she laughs.
After two years together, Ean surprised Alex with a proposal on July 5, 2024, at her parents’ home on Lake Minnetonka, where she grew up. “That morning, all I wanted to do was sit in my pajamas,” she admits. “I wasn’t in a hurry to shower or get ready, so much so that my mom made up a fake errand for me to run so I would get dressed.” With wet hair and in shorts and a tee-shirt, Alex met Ean by the water. “Once we got down to the lake, he quickly dropped down to one knee, and I blacked out.”
Once engaged, the couple agreed that they wanted an intimate wedding that took their guests through their perfect night in Nashville. “My parents also met and lived in Memphis for many years, which made meeting the love of my life and getting married in Tennessee that much more special,” Alex shares.
They quickly booked their favorite restaurant, Rolf & Daughters, for the reception. “From there, our planner, Jessica Sloane, was imperative in helping the rest of the day take shape,” the bride states. Camille Delaune lensed every meaningful moment, while the couple’s friend Myranda of Rosie Girl Stationery designed the invitation suite.
“After trying on 75+ dresses in both Nashville and New York, I felt discouraged that maybe my perfect dress wasn’t out there,” Alex notes. “Determined not to give up or compromise, I enlisted the help of Grace Givens. Grace quickly helped me refine the things that I liked and didn’t like about the plethora of dresses I had tried on, and from there, recommended numerous designers that were previously not on my radar.” With the OTM Head of Style’s help, the bride attended an Emilia Wickstead trunk show, where she landed on a semi-custom design. “I was certain that I wanted to wear a lace cape and a column style dress. With the help of Grace, I worked on a custom look with Emilia’s team and would visit London twice with my mom for the fittings, which have become some of our most treasured memories together.”
“Working with Grace made the entire process that much more fun,” Alex says of creating her ceremony look. “It felt like a true collaboration, and [she was] someone to keep me from spiraling over every small decision.” The bride styled her dress with custom diamond Georgian drop earrings by Green Hills Diamonds, a tennis bracelet, gifted by Ean, and Danielle Frankel shoes. “For a bag, Grace helped me source a gorgeous vintage, white beaded bag which felt like the perfect ‘something old’ addition to my look.” And on the morning-of, hairstylist Patrick Navarro and makeup artist Amanda Gros made sure she looked like the best version of herself.
“Finally, for the welcome and after-parties, Grace introduced me to Tanner Fletcher,” Alex explains. “I wore a long, white ruffled lace dress to our welcome party that felt like the quintessential ‘Nashville lace,’ both country and vintage, but not in an ironic way.” She styled it with Tecova cowboy boots, Marlo Laz Southwestern Heart Earrings, and an Olympia Le-Tan Cowgirl clutch. The after-party saw the bride in a sequin mini dress.
On June 14, 2025, the bride walked down the aisle at the Scarritt Bennett chapel. She and Ean—dressed in a custom tuxedo with Del Toro loafers—exchanged their own vows amongst sprawling florals by Melissa Broadwell. “The moment Ean and I locked eyes, I could tell he had already been crying and was trying to keep it all together,” Alex recalls.
Once announced as married, the newlyweds met their loved ones for one big dinner party. “We chose to do custom linens at Rolf with watercolored illustrations that played on our invitations, like wine, pasta, doves, and our initials, then blew them up and screen printed them onto linen with Lovers for Life Events,” the bride explains. “Rolf & Daughters has served as our go-to date night for many years, in addition to being below my very first apartment in Nashville with my maid of honor, Greta. It’s a place where so many memories have been made and it was completely surreal to look around the room and see it filled with our closest friends and family.”
Favorite bar Old Glory was the last stop of the night. “It was the perfect place to let loose after a long dinner, and we were so excited to show our out of town guests a great bar in Nashville that isn’t a honky tonk,” Alex says. The bride and groom made their entrance to “Crazy in Love.” “Things got a little blurry by the end of the night, and only a few of us survived until the bar closed at 2 a.m., and we wouldn’t have changed a thing.”
