Ana Tereza Guimaraes, who works at Estée Lauder Companies, and James Tedori met while attending business school at Wharton. After graduating, they moved to New York City, and after two years together, he proposed by a frozen waterfall in Iceland.

Since Ana really wanted an outdoor wedding and she’d grown up going to Deer Valley to ski, they booked the St. Regis there for their lawn ceremony and terrace reception. “I wanted the whole aesthetic to feel fresh and embrace that we were surrounded by mountains.”

When it came to picking a wedding dress, Ana actually ended up with something completely opposite from what she thought she wanted. Her Carolina Herrera gown with an asymmetrical bow in the back was timeless and something she knew she’d still love thirty years down the road. In the evening, she changed into a mirrored Dior mini dress and white sneakers.

The bride’s sister wore a bright pink Cushnie dress, and her mom looked beautiful in a Lela Rose design. And because she works in the beauty industry, Ana took the time to find the perfect makeup and hair stylist, and Kali Chris totally got her vision and made her feel like the best version of herself.

On the lawn outside of the hotel at mid-mountain, the bride walked down the aisle with her father to meet James and their officiant. “When we got ready to start the procession, my dad gave me his arm, and we both started crying,” the bride says. After the two shared vows they had written and were announced as husband and wife, everyone moved to the hotel terrace under a clear-top tent, strung up with hanging lights.

For dinner, Ana wanted the menu to honor her Brazilian heritage and included some of her favorite traditional foods. “We served Pão de Queijo, a typical Brazilian cheese bread with our salad,” she says. And Brigadeiro, a typical Brazilian sweet, was presented with their vanilla and dulce de leche wedding cake.

Then the two took to the dance floor for their first dance to “Firestone” by Kygo. “We went through so many songs, but we had listened to ‘Firestone’ countless times when we were dating, and it just felt right,” Ana says. “We had our band learn it and slow it down at the beginning for us, and then halfway through, it got back to its fast-paced rhythm, and all our friends joined us on the dance floor.”

Once the reception came to a close, their guests headed to the hotel bar for the after-party. Later on, the two went on their honeymoon to the Maldives and Italy.
