What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

When Bettina Looney Segovia and Carlos Segovia wed in Johannesburg, South Africa, in February of 2020, it was one of those “break the internet” moments. Bettina, who runs a luxury fashion concierge business, highlighted her effortless fashion sense, the images were candid and en vogue, and then of course. . .  it was one of the last large weddings before the pandemic, so we all held onto it as inspiration for the future, when epic celebrations could return.

Earlier this year, the London-based couple returned to their wedding venue, Johannesdal Farm, to renew their vows in a special ceremony. And as the Over The Moon Registry was born near months after the couple headed down the aisle, Bettina is now creating her Dream Registry and sharing her curation of items.

Although the pair had attended the same university, Floridians Bettina and Carlos met 11 years ago in London through mutual friends. They dated for around five years, before he proposed at Babington House in the English countryside—a place where she figured out that he was “the one.”

Then five years after the couple first exchanged vows, the two decided to turn a last-minute family trip to Cape Town into a renewal celebration. “A week before we left, I was getting my nails done by a friend who usually does them at home, and she asked if we were going back to renew our vows,” Bettina explains. “I hadn’t even thought about it until she mentioned it, but once the idea was in my head, I couldn’t shake it. It felt like the perfect time to do it, especially with our babies there with us!”

Bettina reached out to her wedding planner, Anne Mann, to see if the farm was available, and it was free for two nights during their trip. “You want to plan a vow renewal in five days?” Anne typed back to Bettina. “As I looked down at my four-month-old, breastfeeding while sending work emails, I typed back, ‘Absolutely; let’s do it—life is for celebrating!’”

Once finalized, Bettina scrambled to curate their vow renewal wardrobe with the help of designers, Ellie Misner, Ahmed Akhyeli of Khyeli—who designed her wedding dress—and Brunello Cucinelli. She also brought in some of the unused materials that were sourced in South Africa for their Miami home into the renewal’s aesthetic. “It was so amazing to see our home and wedding worlds collide in the most magical way,” Bettina shares.

The fashion expert describes her aesthetic as “timeless and contemporary.” She adds, “I love natural, earthy tones, but then I am also not afraid to wear something super over the top!” For interiors inspiration, Bettina looks to Belgian designers and Italian interiors. “I love combining modernism with a bit of decorative tradition: Villa Borsani, Axel Vervoordt, etc.”

Bettina leaves us with succinct but valuable advice for those creating their Over The Moon Registries: “Include items you envision seeing in your home in 20 years time, saying, ‘We got this for our wedding.’”
