Everything We Know About Grace Kelly’s Granddaughter’s Wedding

Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline of Hanover and granddaughter of Grace Kelly, is reportedly getting married this weekend to Dimitri Rassam. The 32-year-old is set to wed her 37-year-old film producer beau and the father of their seven-month-old son Balthazar in Monaco. The couple had reportedly planned to tie the knot last summer and were engaged in early March last year, after a year of dating, but waited because of the birth of their son.

HOLA! reports that the union will take place on June, 1st, and the civil ceremony will be held in the state rooms of Monaco’s royal palace (where Grace Kelly married King Rainier in 1956), followed by a luncheon.

We can only expect that the entire House of Grimaldi will attend, including Princess Caroline, Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, and Princess Stephanie. And we can guess that this won’t be the only ceremony to take place, as her siblings Andrea and Pierre had second, more elaborate ceremonies. It’s believed that a possible religious ceremony will take place in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, where Casiraghi grew up.

HELLO! reveals, via German publication Bunte’s reporting, that Casiraghi’s five-year-old son Raphaël, whose father is French comedian Gad Elmaleh, will be a pageboy. Also involved are Prince Albert’s twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who will be a pageboy and flower girl. Nothing has been said of Rassam’s daughter with his ex-wife Masha Novoselova.

Rassam is the son of French actress Carole Bouquet, who is friends with the bride-to-be’s mother, and French-Lebanese film producer Jean-Pierre Rassam, who died when Dimitri was four years old.

The couple reportedly met in Paris in 2016 or 2017 and attended Casiraghi’s step-brother’s wedding together in November 2017. After releasing a joint statement dismissing rumors of splitting up, the couple has been seen out together frequently—most recently at the Cannes Film Festival.

While speculations surround this royal wedding, one thing’s for sure—we’ll be waking up tomorrow with hopes of seeing a dress that rivals Princess Grace’s on the brain.
