Singer-songwriter Chloe Stroll and Olympic silver and bronze medalist snowboarder Scotty James, who’s also won seven X Games gold medals, were set up by Chloe’s brother, Aston Martin Formula One Driver Lance Stroll. Two-and-a-half years later, Scotty surprised Chloe with a proposal on a snowy day in Lauenen, Switzerland.

The couple admit Italy is their favorite place, and Venice ended up being the perfect place to bring their loved ones together for their wedding. “We both love nature and pictured an outdoor wedding in a garden, and Torcello had exactly that feeling,” Chloe explains. The celebrations spanned three nights, starting with an evening of glamor, followed by a speakeasy. The wedding took place on May 12, 2023, and the next night, the couple threw a fête to remember at the fish market in the middle of Venice. They ended at The Gritti Palace for the after-party, where the lobby was transformed into a night club. Lanza and Baucina brought their vision to life, while BOTTEGA 53 captured every moment.

Before her ceremony, Chloe got ready with makeup artist Kelly McClain and hair stylist Jacob Rosenberg. She then put on her custom Christian Dior wedding dress with an embroidered tulle shawl. “I wanted it to look timeless and elegant and be A-line/princess because that was my dream as a little girl,” the bride reveals. “I love old glamor, like Grace Kelly, and wanted that kind of look for the dress.”

That evening, she changed into a custom Versace dress—one of three she donned during the weekend—that had a bit more edge to it. Chloe ended the night in a custom lace mini dress, which she actually wore for her civil ceremony, paired with personalized Air Force Ones. Scotty rocked a matching pair with his Brioni look.

In a white pergola, arranged with peonies and greenery, Chloe and Scotty married. “We chose the pergola because we wanted it to feel like it had been there all along—The Great Gatsby meets Italian garden,” the bride shares. After the couple’s maltese poodle, Jack Bauer, adorably walked down the aisle as the ring bearer, Rabbi Barbara led a beautiful service. “We felt happy and excited. . . We were both very smiley—Scotty was teary and smiley—but overall just bubbling with overwhelming love and happiness and disbelief the moment had arrived.”

The reception began in a glasshouse with pops of pink florals. The newlyweds made their grand entrance to “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” by ABBA before sitting down to dinner by three-star Michelin chef Antonio Mellino.

After cutting into their delicious strawberry crostata wedding cake, Chloe and Scotty shared a first dance to “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton. And once dessert had been served, the bride changed into her last look to dance the night away with Brooklyn Soul of ALR Music and DJ Sam French in a cove of olive trees.
