When Coley Loudermilk was in the fourth grade, her new friend, Grey Poplin, brought her twin brother, Will Poplin, to a football game. Will was already curious about Coley and asked his sister who she was. They all became good friends, and years later, Coley and Will’s relationship turned romantic.
After four years together, Will proposed at Coley’s family’s beach house in Sea Island, Georgia. And once engaged, they planned on exchanging vows at Peachtree Road United Methodist and coming back to her parents’ home in Atlanta for the reception.
To bring their vision to life, they enlisted the help of Over The Moon The List Planner Augusta Cole. Over The Moon The List Photographer Aaron Delesie was brought on to capture every special moment. And Over The Moon The List Illustrators Stephanie Fishwick and Dear Elouise were paired together to set the tone for the weekend with an elevated invitation suite.
When Coley was engaged, her sister actually sent her a photo of her future Oscar de la Renta wedding dress. They traveled to Houston to try on the design from the new collection, and the bride fell in love. She paired it with sentimental jewelry. “My ‘something blue’ was my mom’s diamond and sapphire ring, which I had wanted to wear during my wedding since she got it years ago,” Coley shares.
On the day-of, Coley got ready with a glam team from Margaret Snider Co. Bridesmaids complemented her in butter yellow dresses.
For the after-party, the bride chose a fun silver sequin dress by The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Ozel and paired it with an Oscar de la Renta crystal choker.
On May 17, 2025, Coley and Will married in Atlanta. “The sanctuary is very large and beautiful, so I wanted to keep the decor/flowers very simple,” the bride explains. “It was short and sweet, which is what Will and I wanted.”
Cocktail hour began around the pool and underneath the summer house in the backyard. Guests then made their way under the dinner tent from Skyline for the seated meal by Dennis Dean and live music. The ambiance was meant to feel like an enclosed garden courtyard, just off the home, with custom-colored D’Ascoli linens and Laboratorio Paravincini plates. Floral arches by Sara York Grimshaw breathed even more life into the space.
After cutting the tiered Cakes by Anna wedding confection, the horn section of The Downtown Band of East Coast Entertainment led everyone into another tent for dancing and espresso martinis. The tiled bar playfully nodded to the couple’s favorite aperitivo at Splendido in Portofino.
The newlyweds shared a first dance to “Too Late to Turn Back Now” by The Cornelius Brothers. And they kept celebrating with loved ones until the late hours with a DJ and a silent disco.
After the wedding day concluded, Coley and Will jetted off to Italy for their La Dolce Vita–worthy honeymoon.
