Francesca Sanna and Simone Masini—the team behind Over The Moon Top Videographer Lumos Produzioni—met completely by chance. Francesca was having breakfast with a girlfriend at a small café, when her friend serendipitously passed by and joined them at the table—one guess who it was. “I learned that Simone had just returned from Kenya, where he’d been volunteering as a photographer and teaching children in orphanages how to use cameras to tell their own stories,” she remembers. “I was touched by his warmth and by the purpose behind that project; it revealed so much about who he was.”
The pair dated for nearly 10 years before getting engaged. Simone proposed at sunset at a lighthouse on the southern coast of Melbourne. The idea for their cinematography studio was born during a trip to a lighthouse in Italy, so the setting felt particularly symbolic. “When I asked her to marry me, we both cried,” Simone remembers. “It was one of those rare, perfect moments when everything feels just right.”
While the couple considered hosting a destination affair, most of their guests were based in Italy, and their hearts felt particularly drawn to Tuscany. Having documented hundreds of love stories, the newly engaged couple looked for a venue untouched by past professional memories—somewhere that felt entirely their own—enter Conti di San Bonifacio, a secluded and effortlessly Italian estate.
To bring their vision to life, the couple enlisted the help of Rachel Birthistle Studio. “From the very beginning, we imagined a garden inspired by Gucci Flora and the Gucci Garden in Florence: colorful, romantic, and slightly wild,” Francesca details. “We didn’t want platforms or structures that felt built; we wanted the ceremony to feel organic, grounded, and real.” Joel Serrato was at the lens to make sure every last detail was beautifully documented.
Over the years, Francesca had the opportunity to document bridal campaigns for Monique Lhuiller, and developed a deep admiration for her designs. So when it came time to choose her bridal fashion, the brand was a no-brainer. After several visits to her London atelier, Francesca continued to come back to the very first dress she tried on. “I chose the ‘Bloom’ gown, a decision that felt as natural as it was meaningful,” she explains. “Crafted in silk gazar, it featured balloon sleeves, floral motifs, and subtle green-toned blooms.” Dawn Artists were on-site to make sure the bride looked and felt her best.
On October 4th, 2025, guests gathered on a hilltop overlooking the sprawling Tuscan valley. As the bride made her entrance, Vocal Blue Trains musicians began to play a heartfelt rendition of “Angels” by Robbie Williams. It was a sweet surprise à la Simone, who knew how much Francesca loved gospel choirs. “When I saw her, it felt like time stood still,” he reflects. The couple could feel the love and presence of their guests, but it was as if they were completely alone in that moment. “We’ve always had this ability to transport ourselves into our own world, and during the ceremony, that feeling was stronger than ever,” Francesca describes.
After being announced as officially married, guests were invited to an al fresco dinner where a single imperial table stretched between two rows of cypress trees. “We’ve always wanted something bold and unexpected—not the classic white or neutral palette so often seen in weddings,” the bride states. “Rachel surprised us with an extraordinary long blue denim tablecloth with ruffled edges, that she personally designed and that was made for our wedding for the very first time.” It was adorned with autumnal flowers, berries, fruits, and hand-crafted ceramics, all beautifully arranged by Tulipina to create an abundant, painterly look.
As everyone dined on a traditional Italian dinner served by Chef Armando of Conti di San Bonifacio, the bride and groom listened to heartfelt speeches from their parents. “What touched me most was how their words reminded us that parents never stop guiding you,” Simone recounts. “You live and grow and become an adult, while their love evolves and becomes quieter, wiser, but just as constant and purely strong.”
Music played an important role in Francesca and Simone’s relationship, so choosing their first dance song felt like an impossible task. “When we’re at home, there’s always vinyl playing in the background, especially when we’re cooking or spending quiet evenings together,” Simone shares. Ultimately, “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls became their chosen soundtrack, and it wasn’t long before the moment turned into something shared with everyone present. “Halfway through the song, our guests couldn’t resist and joined us on the dance floor, wrapping us in one huge embrace as everyone sang along at the top of their lungs. It turned into this spontaneous wave of love and connection—shared emotion, friendship, and pure joy.”
After the party was the after-party, which paid homage to their beloved poodle, thanks to the creativity of Letterink. “Everything, from the custom neon sign that read Bar Martino to the napkins, coasters, and drink menus was playfully themed around him.” The festivities lasted until the wee hours of the morning, when even the couple was too tired to keep dancing.
