Two years after Dr. Kristen “Krissy” Kent and Dr. Christopher Noty met in their surgery residency, he proposed while on a late-night walk in Central Park. Once engaged, the busy couple quickly agreed on a destination wedding, so they could combine their nuptials and honeymoon.
“Chris had always loved the South of France, and I have always loved beautiful estates and manor houses with elegant and luxurious touches, so when Tracy [of Over The Moon Editor’s Pick Planner Tracy Taylor Ward Design] presented Le Mas des Poiriers to us, it was the clear winner,” Krissy shares. The two set the date for early September, and Shannon Moffit and Harrison Films took on the task of lensing the weekend. Elsa Madeline Design set the tone with a beautiful invitation suite.
To kick off the weekend, everyone gathered for a relaxing poolside party with Parisian watercolorist Iris Hatzfeld painting everyone’s portrait. That evening, the welcome dinner unfolded in the gardens. Krissy wore Francesca Miranda’s Eli taffeta dress to abide by the all-white, cream, and neutrals dress code. “I found [it] on Over The Moon and immediately knew it was the one,” she says of her look.
The next day, Kristen put on her wedding dress—Lela Rose’s “Monroe”—which she found at Mark Ingram Atelier. The bride was originally drawn to its dramatic train, which paired well with her extra-long aisle through the cypress trees. Amandine Baron gave Krissy a glowing, natural beauty look.
On September 2, 2024, the couple wed in an outdoor ceremony. “All of our loved ones were enveloped in a cloud of pale pink roses, growing up from the ground in a circle around them, creating the most perfect organic and romantic setting,” Krissy recalls. “Having everyone within arms distance made us feel so loved and supported.”
After Krissy and Christopher were announced as married by Claire Macintyre, the reception unfolded poolside beneath a sage gazebo. Custom double-embossed, personalized menus sat on ceramic tableware below crystal candelabras. Chef Steve Carrs crafted a delicious, seasonal menu showcasing all that Provence has to offer.
DJ Carley of ALR Music set the tone during dinner before amping up the energy for the dance party. The newlyweds shared a first dance to “Hold My Girl” by George Ezra.
After cutting their Made in Cake wedding confection, the couple felt the itch to jump in the pool and were enthusiastically joined by their best friends. Kristen concludes, “It was so exhilarating and such a nice reprieve from our work to be able to relax and enjoy very second without a care in the world.”
