Megan Stant and English soccer player John Lundstram first crossed paths when they were both 18 years old, beginning a story that would span more than a decade. After dating for three years, parting ways for another five, and eventually reuniting for three more, John ultimately proposed in Greece while on vacation with Megan’s family. She said, “Yes,” by the water surrounded by loved ones. “As my mum and I strolled to dinner on the beach, John and the rest had gone ahead,” Megan recalls. “When we arrived, to our surprise, the table was adorned with rose petals, and there was John, down on one knee, with the sun setting and the waves gently crashing beside us.”

The to-be-weds had always envisioned a traditional English wedding venue and Grantley Hall met every expectation. “I always wanted a clean aesthetic to the wedding, crisp white for the ceremony and soft creams and pinks to bring a romantic feeling to the wedding breakfast,” Megan says. Kristina Kempton ensured Megan’s aesthetic shone through in every detail, and Inna Kostukovsky lensed the day beautifully.

As for her wardrobe, the bride-to-be chose the first dress she ever tried on—“nothing compared from there,” she notes of the Oscar de la Renta look. For the post-nuptial celebrations, Megan donned Vivienne Westwood. “I love the simplicity of her beautiful gowns, they are timeless.” Caitlin Johnson and Charlie Edwards added to the elegance of it all with a fresh beauty look.

On June 20, 2024, the couple’s daughter happily graced the aisle before Megan and John said, “I do.” “Our daughter, Florence, set the scene for such a beautiful ceremony. The moment our one year old saw her dad, she sprinted down the aisle and jumped into his arms,” the bride recalls. “I felt nervous but excited. Everything went perfectly.” The two exchanged personal vows and once pronounced officially wed, excited the ceremony amidst cheers and falling flower petals.

The reception space, expertly detailed in blush Larry Walshe florals met the bride’s vision to a T. Following their first dance to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’s “Islands in the Stream,” the newlyweds were joined by their daughter and then guests on the dance floor. The Function Band had everyone on their feet all evening, only stopping for the cake-cutting, of course. The night went off without a hitch and looking back, the couple remembers the day as “beautiful beyond words.”
