Rachel Cunningham and Joseph Cunningham III, who got engaged after three years together at the Kerry Cliffs in Ireland, wanted a romantic wedding with mountain views and chose Glynwood in Cold Spring, New York to host their October festivities. “Driving down the road felt like being back in Ireland, where Joe’s family is from,” Rachel says of their venue. To help plan everything, they hired Nancy and Neila form Nectar de Fête.

To say, “I do,” Rachel chose the first wedding dress she tried on from Flora Bridal. “I loved how classic it was and not too fussy,” she says. “I wasn’t too concerned about what I was wearing and really wanted to be comfortable.” For beauty, she trusted clean makeup artist Sarah Rose Adams.

On October 26th, Rachel walked down the floral-lined aisle with her father as “Sea of Love” played, and they sealed their marriage with a magical first kiss and mountains in the background. The reception kicked off in a gorgeous tent, and both brothers of the couple made heartwarming speeches during the delicious, local dinner catered by Amuzae. Then the newlyweds cut their two wedding cakes by Tessa Price. Joe’s smaller cake was malted dark chocolate with BBQ chip crumbs and milk chocolate ganache, and the main one was a burnt honey-soaked butter cake with roasted strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream.

The new Mr. and Mrs. had their first dance to “This Year’s Love” by David Grey, and at the end of the night, they had Joe’s father, who is in a band, play a special set. “It was the perfect way to wrap up the reception and then move onto the intimate after-party in the main house,” Rachel explains.

After the wedding, they two took a road trip in Switzerland through the Alps and into Italy. Rachel says, “It was absolutely beautiful, from the views and food and so amazing to have that time together.”
