Rebekah and Devon Lewis met in eighth grade, grew close in high school, and by senior year were inseparable. Even when they went to different colleges, they stayed in constant contact, always finding their way back to each other during breaks. “We’d somehow still end up in the kind of laughter that gives you an ab workout or the kind of philosophical debates you wouldn’t want a stranger overhearing,” Rebekah shares. Over time, their friendship naturally became something more. “At some point I just realized we had built something I couldn’t imagine sharing with anyone else.”
After five years of dating—following more than a decade of friendship—Devon planned a proposal that felt true to them. On a ski trip to Beaver Creek, he carried the ring the entire time, waiting for the right moment. After a long dinner at Juniper, one of Rebekah’s favorites, he led her outside under the Christmas lights. “I knew she wanted to be surprised more than anything,” he says. He romantically got down on one knee, while the restaurant staff quietly watched from inside.
For their wedding on March 15, 2025, the couple chose Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Central Florida, a place that already felt like home. With planner Taylored Affairs leading the process, the vision came together as something timeless and romantic, grounded in the natural setting while still feeling elevated and intentional.
Fashion set the tone early on. Rebekah found her Vera Wang Iris dress in a last-minute appointment the morning of a flight. “It was the only dress I tried on where I felt like ‘I can’t wait for Dev to see this,’” she says. She kept everything else simple, wearing only the pearl earrings her mother had worn on her own wedding day.
Devon wore a custom tux from Tweeds, while the wedding party stayed classic, with men in black tuxes and bridesmaids in navy dresses they chose themselves. Beauty was kept soft and polished by Lea Cakes Beauty, letting the overall look feel effortless.
The ceremony unfolded on the Isleworth lawn overlooking the lake, where guests sat facing the water along an aisle lined with organic florals by Gather & Grace Designs. At the altar, a lush semicircle of soft white and cream blooms with subtle hints of blue framed the couple against the landscape. Rebekah admitted she was finishing her vows just moments before walking down the aisle, but once the ceremony began, she felt “weirdly at peace and just present,” while Devon described the moment as feeling “excited, blessed,” and ready to celebrate.
The reception moved into the ballroom, where the space was transformed into a candlelit setting layered with texture and warmth. Swag Decor created a ceiling of soft ivory draping that floated above the room, paired with long tables dressed in linens from BBJ La Tavola and rentals from EventWorks, Treasury Rentals, and Vivant Rentals. Florals carried through the space, and a black-and-white dance floor anchored the room. Signage by Andi Mejia added a clean, personal touch throughout.
Their first dance to “Beyond”by Leon Bridges set the tone for the evening, as music from Jade Strings transitioned seamlessly into a packed dance floor led by DJ Tommy G.
Some of the most memorable moments came unexpectedly. “When my grandpa sang ‘My Girl,’ that caught me so off guard, and he was incredibly talented,” Devon says. Rebekah added that Devon’s dad taking the stage to sing was another highlight, making the night feel even more personal.
Dessert was just as meaningful, with a cake by Cades Cakes and Cappas Bakery created by a close friend. “It tasted just as good, if not better, than it looked,” she shares.
The celebration carried on until midnight, when guests gathered outside for a send-off under cold sparklers, marking the end of a day that felt both intimate and full of energy. Instead of rushing off immediately, the couple chose a mini-moon in the Highlands before planning a longer honeymoon through the Dolomites, Lago di Garda, and Lake Como later in the month—continuing the sense of adventure that has defined their relationship from the very beginning.
