What began as a casual trivia night at The Colony Palm Beach turned into the start of The Scout Guide Palm Beach Owner Stacey Leuliette and David-William Coffin’s life together. Introduced by a mutual friend, the two were “smitten from the start,” Stacey shared. They soon realized a remarkable 50-year family connection, later finding out that on the night Stacey was born, her parents were driven to the hospital in D.W.’s cousin’s car. And his great-uncle hired her father to run the Jeep division at American Motors Corporation, a company that D.W.’s family started. What began as a friendship quickly grew into something more, leading to their engagement just 17 months later.

The engagement took place on Christmas Eve, beneath the tree. After celebrating with Stacey’s family, the couple continued their tradition of opening one gift before Christmas morning. As Stacey reached for a present and asked, “What about this one?” D.W. replied, “What about this one instead?” She turned to find him kneeling with a ring. Earlier, he had discreetly set up his phone to record the proposal, capturing the moment.

Stacey and D.W. married on May 10th, 2025, at The Colony Palm Beach, where they first met. “The Colony was the perfect choice for us,” Stacey shared. She referenced her long relationship with the venue and its owner, Sarah Wetenhall. Having worked with the team for years, they trusted every detail would be handled. As Stacey put it, they “felt right at home.” With help from wedding planner David Handy of Handy Dallaire Events, the day ran seamlessly. This allowed the couple to enjoy every moment.

The overall look—and the photographs captured by Carrie Bradburn of Capehart Photography—drew inspiration from Ralph Lauren. The style also referenced the timeless elegance of Town & Country and the iconic Palm Beach aesthetic. That classic sensibility was evident in every detail of the couple’s fashion choices.

The bride chose a dress that traced back to her family heritage. The Leuliettes, her family, were renowned lace makers in Calais, France—a history she honored in her bridal look. She wore a French lace dress from Lola Dre Bridal in Jupiter, Florida. Stacy carried a lace handkerchief made in Calais. She also tucked her great-grandmother’s pin into her bouquet, keeping generations of meaning with her on the wedding day.

She completed her look with pearl cluster earrings by Jennifer Behr and a necklace gifted by D.W. For hair and makeup, Stacey turned to her trusted team at Paul Labrecque in Palm Beach. Makeup artist Lori Cleary, who regularly works with Stacy for events and shoots, created a beauty look that felt special yet effortless, while her hairstylist finished the look with a soft, romantic style.

D.W. wore a classic Tom Ford tuxedo paired with Belgian loafers, then changed into a white dinner jacket for the reception. His cufflinks from Scully & Scully added a final, traditional touch.

The couple exchanged vows in the East Garden during an intimate ceremony with approximately 65 guests. Florals by Renny & Reed brought a touch of Nantucket to Palm Beach, with blue-and-white hydrangeas framing the space. Their pastor, James Scroggins IV, officiated—a close friend and a guiding presence in their lives.

Choosing to forgo a first look, Stacey and D.W. saved their reveal for the walk down the aisle, turning it into a meaningful moment. Because they had exchanged vows privately weeks earlier, the ceremony felt calm and joyful, filled with happy tears and an ease that allowed them to fully take it all in.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered by the pool at for cocktail hour as Stacey and D.W. took portraits. Everyone then returned to the East Garden for dinner, beginning with carrot and coconut soup, followed by Swifty’s Surf & Turf featuring Chilean sea bass and beef tenderloin, served with wild mushroom risotto and potatoes au gratin. A tiered cake by Earth & Sugar concluded the meal.

After dinner, the couple shared their first dance to “For Once in My Life” by Stevie Wonder, as live music by Christopher Sealey carried the evening forward. One of Stacey’s favorite moments came shortly after, when D.W. took her hand, grabbed the microphone, and thanked their family and friends for joining them. The evening continued with dancing in the ballroom before Stacey and D.W. made their sparkler exit and retreated to the hotel’s Cabana Bungalow. They later set off for a weeklong honeymoon on Harbour Island, with a safari planned for their anniversary next year.
