Tiffany Yang, an OB/GYN subspecialist in maternal-fetal medicine, and Reid Warner, an investor and entrepreneur, first met in 2017 at the opening of his Los Angeles fitness studio. Tiffany signed up as the 10th member, but it wasn’t until two years later, during an evening in Little Tokyo, when the two reconnected. “We recognized each other right away and found out we shared the same birthday, Chinese zodiac sign, and love for travel,” Tiffany says. They talked until the bar closed.
By 2019, they were together. In 2020, they planned a trip to the Netherlands to see Keukenhof’s tulips in full bloom—canceled when the pandemic shut down travel. Instead, they watched a livestream from their living room. In 2023, they finally made it to Amsterdam. Among the rows of flowers, Reid proposed.
They envisioned a destination wedding that reflected their long-distance years, with events that felt like the reunions they’d had around the world. After honoring Tiffany’s Chinese heritage with a tea ceremony for their engagement celebration, they chose Lake Como to highlight Reid’s Italian roots. They enlisted photographer Luis Mendoza to photograph their wedding weekend and Stefano Pompei of Lightfeels Wedding to capture the events on video. Guests received custom invitation suites by Deus Wedding Invitations.
Vittoria of WeddItaly planned the weekend, which began with a private boat tour. Six Venetian limos carried guests across the lake, meeting Tiffany and Reid’s Riva boat for a Champagne toast. To this, Tiffany wore an Alexis look and face-framing curls styled by BLBS Management.
That evening, at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, dinner tables were set with pastel arrangements by Alessandro Piacenza. “For the rehearsal dinner, I wanted to epitomize romance and florals,” the bride notes. “I wore a white Bronx and Banco appliqué flower midi dress with a notched sweetheart neckline.”
For her ceremony look, Tiffany wore a structural lace Monique Lhuillier dress with custom sleeves and veil. Diamond studs gifted by Reid for her 30th birthday were her “something old,” and a handkerchief carried by Reid’s grandmother in 1948 served as her “something borrowed.”
On June 15, 2024, guests boarded boats to Villa del Balbianello. Morning rain cleared as Tiffany arrived with her father to a string trio’s rendition of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.” “It was heartfelt and emotional…simply perfect, beyond anything I could have anticipated,” she says of the ceremony, officiated by a friend and framed by white roses and baby’s breath.
Afterward, guests enjoyed a mozzarella bar by Class Eventi before the newlyweds made their grand entrance and poured a Champagne tower. Dinner followed—scallops, truffle-shaved tagliolini, and a choice of sea bass or filet mignon—with each course accompanied by heartfelt toasts from Tiffany’s sister, their parents, and the couple.
Blunotte Eventi provided the soundtrack for the evening, and after the couple’s first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight” and a slice of millefoglie cake, the dance floor stayed full. Once the festivities wound down, guests piled into limos for an impromptu stop at a local nightclub. “We then finished off the night in the lobby bar of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo,” Tiffany remembers. “We played chess and had our final spritzes before heading to our room as husband and wife!”
