Victoria Sanchez’s friend, Devon, convinced her to go to a Christmas party in 2017. The fête ended up being the setting where she first met Jake Freeman, and everything changed.
After six years together, Jake proposed on a dock near her family’s boat at sunset. “My parents and in laws were hiding inside the club house, watching from afar!” Victoria exclaims. “[I’m] glad he didn’t drop it in the water.”
Victoria always dreamed of getting married at St. Lucie Ranch, sitting on more than 1,000 acres just outside of Palm Beach. The estate is owned by her uncle, SMI Landscape Architecture Founder Jorge Sanchez, who is behind notable public and private green spaces including the Bacardi Estate and The Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, and her aunt, Serina Bradley Martin.
“The aesthetic of our wedding was to complement the natural beauty of the property: chic, elegant, European, ranchy…” the bride explains. To bring the couple’s vision to life they enlisted the help of Cristy Lloveras of MCL Coordination. Over The Moon The List Photographer Anne Rhett lensed every moment, and Paper Pressed Studio set the tone for the weekend with a beautiful invitation suite.
Ever since Victoria discovered Danielle Frankel’s bridal designs, she knew she’d wear one of her creations down the aisle. Victoria thought it might be the Charlie, but something was off. Fortunately, the next collection brought her the Pauline. “It was basically the Charlie, but with everything else I wanted: form-fitting, tulle, low back, high neck; it was made for me,” she states.
On November 16, 2024, Victoria got ready in a Danielle Frankel set with makeup artist Angelique and hairstylist Nichola Lynch, who gave the bride a natural beauty look. She carried a delicate bouquet by Anthology Co. Her next two looks were by Georgia Hardinge and PatBo, paired with a custom rattan headpiece. And the mother of the bride looked beautiful in Carolina Herrera.
The bride walked down the outdoor aisle to meet Jake at the altar. She explains that she felt “surreal, beautiful, happy, excited, and shocked at how beautiful the weather was!”
After the two exchanged vows and were declared officially married, they made their grand reception entrance on Victoria’s uncle’s swamp buggy truck. Then, a delicious meal by MG Culinary Concepts was served under the Sperry tent, followed by a carrot, dulce de leche, and strawberry-lemon wedding cake by The Cake Lady.
The newlyweds shared a first dance to “Vienna” by Billy Joel with DJ Felva, and after a while, the party joyfully continued at a few bars in downtown Stuart, celebrating the newlyweds through the early morning hours.
