Creative Director of D Studio and Dewberry Foundation Director Jaimie Dewberry and real estate developer and hotelier John K. Dewberry are expecting their first child—a sweet baby girl—next month, and the mom-to-be is sharing her Dream Over The Moon Baby Registry with us. The couple are both design-minded and already converted their guest bedroom into the most elegant nursery, which they’ve given us a preview of. “Our home was built in 1770, and our aesthetic is very much old world found objects juxtaposed with modern touches,” Jaimie explains. “The overall feel we are going for is timeless and classic with a side of whimsy for the nursery.”

Since this is Jaimie and John’s first foray into parenthood, it’s new terrain and a little overwhelming but very exciting. The mama-to-be stresses the importance of leaning on friends who are in the thick of it. “My tip would be find a friend who is just a little bit ahead of you—if you’re pregnant, someone with a 6-9 month old is perfect!—and ask them to come over to see what they were actually using and loving and what has made their life a little easier,” she advises.

Jaimie created her OTM Dream Baby Registry focusing on three categories: fashion, nursery decor, and books. When it comes to the nursery, she is using a mix of fabrics, but Schumacher is the main addition. “Over The Moon has so many precious pillows and Schumacher items to help add in additional layers!” she exclaims.

Building their baby girl’s library is also a priority. “We are big readers in our home, and John’s love for reading comes from his father. Something he would always say about a book is that it can take you to any far away land. We are firm believers that education is the key to unlocking so many doors!” Jaimie shares. “We swooned over all the classic leather-bound books on the Over The Moon Baby Registry!”

As Jaimie awaits the arrival of her first child, she leaves us with her favorite advice on pregnancy and motherhood: “[Just] roll with it! From conceiving to being pregnant, I think it is important to relinquish control over the idea of how you think things ‘should be’ and embrace how they are and . . . roll with it! I’m sure I will find this out with the whole birth experience as well, but it’s been a nice change of pace for me to better manage my expectations and live in the moment—really enjoying each stage and phase as it comes.”
