Finding a good beauty team is hard enough in everyday life, but when it comes to your wedding, you obviously want the best, which isn’t always easy when you’re planning a destination celebration. With this in mind, we’ve rounded up the hair and makeup geniuses we’d recommend nation-wide. (Some of them are skilled in other areas for a one-stop-shop kind of deal too!) A lot of guides we’ve come across only focus on the major cities in America. Here, we’ve tried to cast a wider net. Scroll below to find who we recommend in your city. (P.S. A good number of them are up for traveling!)



Holly Jones

Holly is a color specialist and stylist with more than 17 years of experience. She is known for her work with blondes; however, that doesn’t mean she can’t perfect other shades as well. Her clients include Scarlett Johansson, Bella Thorne, and Portia de Rossi, and her work has appeared in numerous big publications (Allure, GQ, and Glamour, to name a few).

Demetra Jennings

Owner of Los Gatos Nimbus Salon, color creative, and session stylist, Demetra works with clients in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles as well. She’s lent her talents to several New York Fashion Weeks with Aveda and has trained with Vidal Sassoon. If you’re looking for a stylist in Northern California, Demetra just might be your girl!

Marisa Perel Craigmyle

Available in Sonoma, San Francisco, Napa, Central Coast, and for destination weddings, Marisa is a hair stylist, eyebrow specialist, and makeup artist who has lots of experience in bridal. She has put in more than 10 years of work honing her craft and really tries to make every client feel like the best possible version of themselves.


Janet Villa

Janet has been working weddings since 2007, and now, her team of hair and makeup artists can accommodate any wedding party size. “Styling brides, models, and the ‘just engaged’ with a natural glam look is what we love to do!” Janet says.



Kendra Lauren

Lorna Made Me Blush Artistry

Makeup artist Lorna serves the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island areas and uses the latest in organic and non-toxic products. She has 18 years in the spa and wellness industry and is also a holistic aesthetician. “I am so excited to be a part of this new generation of beauty,” she says. “The ability to carry health-conscious beauty products in my kit gives me great joy!”



Christine Majken

A stylist and colorist for men and women, Christine has 30 years of experience and started out in Soho in Manhattan. With session work for New York and Miami Fashion Weeks, she’s a great go-to for your big day.

Daniela Gozlan

Daniela and her team is based in Miami but can easily travel to the Bahamas too. She’s known for her glowing, enhancing, and red carpet styles and can conveniently master hair and makeup looks together.

Amanda Hopcraft

In 2004, Amanda launched the first-of-its-kind, on-location hair and makeup team in St. Augustine, Florida and has now expanded to destination weddings. Her team also does engagement sessions, on-location nails, and men’s grooming.

A creative session stylist, extension artist, blonde specialist, and haircutter out of Soren Salon, Lindsey completed her formal training in Los Angeles and has a 20-year career in hairdressing, which has included international editorial work, several NYFWs, and bridal.

Specializing in styling and extensions, Anna works out of the sustainable, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free salon Boss Hair Group. No wedding party is too large and no venue is too far for them—there’s also no additional cost for traveling to Kiawah, Seabrook Island, Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and surrounding areas.. Jean Barton

Olivia Flores

A California-native, Olivia is an Amika Pro-Educator and Platform Artist and has more than 10 years of experience. She has worked with countless brides in the San Antonio and surrounding areas.

“In Texas, it stays pretty warm so keeping the hair off of the neck with a braided look is the perfect style for brides who don’t want to compromise the romance,”  Olivia explains. “My go-to style is full-bodied in the crown along with a textured braid—from fishtail braids to 4-strand braids. Braids create enough variation in the hair to keep the updo soft and are structured enough to hold all night on the dance floor. Anakin Chin

This American Board Certified colorist is an artistic stylist at Bubbles Salon in Home Depot Square in Bethesda. He’ll work with you to create great color dimension for your walk down the aisle.

Kathleen Peters

Kathleen’s IG bio reads, “Awesome Hair. Always. I make people look badass and beautiful everyday,” so we already love her! She’s a Hair Mastered alum with 14 years of experience and has NYFW and editorial work under her belt. She now runs her own business, after working her way from apprentice to stylist to owner. Stephanie Broome

Stephanie has worked as a professional makeup artist in the Rocky Mountain region for more than 9 years. Stephanie was lucky enough to train under renowned celebrity esthetician, Melanie Simon, which led to her core belief that healthy skin is the first step to beautiful makeup. Now six years later, she specializes in bridal, on set, HD camera, and airbrush makeup.
