Alexandra Grecco, one of the amazing bridal brands we carry, debuted two new collections this Spring 2020 Bridal Fashion Week. The Poppy Collection is an assortment of made-to-order, mix-and-match pieces, while Botanica: Part Two is the label’s latest capsule and an extension of the original Botanica Collection. And all pieces are sustainably produced in New York City’s Garment District.
Drawing inspiration from vintage civil ceremony imagery, Poppy is an homage to ’60s fashion. “As wedding ceremonies often became smaller in 2020, I grew intrigued by the idea of expanding the scope of our offerings to accommodate these intimate affairs,” Alexandra Grecco says. The collection, ranging from $750-$1,500 includes a large selection of silhouettes like a smart blazer, cape-style sheath, and A-line mini dress. We’re absolutely smitten with the Odette styles, Dali dresses, and Delfina cape in particular.
As a continuation of Botanica, which launched last October, Part Two features hand-embroidered gowns that sparkle like fresh spring dew. “Like a fresh crop of flowers, we are back; vibrant and anew,” Grecco states. “Our brides are ready to celebrate, and this collection is a testament to the happiness that awaits.”
With a higher price range of $2,500-$5,000, this offering includes a floral motif woven throughout all of the collection’s clean and modern silhouettes. And finishes range from opulent silk satins to luxurious silk crepes. The long-sleeve gowns will really appeal to modern brides who want a to keep things sleek while not showing too much skin, and the embroidery peeking out through the leg slit of the Oleana gown is such a great design detail.
