English romance and the English countryside are often quoted as inspirations for OTM Weddings, and it’s no surprise. However, we were yearning for more intimate styled shoots with the same aura this past year. Thankfully, planner Katrina Otter and her team of talented U.K.-based vendors also had a collective desire to curate an editorial that encapsulated elegant gatherings whilst celebrating modern femininity through high fashion pairings.

Last November, photographer Emilie White took advantage of winter’s dappled sunshine that remained low on the horizon for darker images with a unique, beautiful aura. The shoot took place at wedding venue Holywell Hall in Lincolnshire—a 17th-century country house set in the English countryside. And the home had an array of stunning locations to capture images at. All For Love London created an ethereal, organic floral display amongst the arches of the on-site church.

And as fashion played a big role for this editorial, Surrey bridal boutique Miss Bush supplied the “bride”—Jessica Almeida—with Sophie et Voilà and Jesus Peiro pieces. The statement opera coat from the latter designer reminded us that chic layering is always possible. And Hair and Makeup Atelier was always there to switch up beauty looks and touch up makeup and hair.

For the candlelit dinner, Duchess & Butler tableware was set on furniture from Wedhead. And Pale Press London, who also created the invitations, made matching menus that were placed on each setting. For dessert, a lovely Botanico cake sat waiting to be ceremoniously cut into.

Otter explains that her goals with these images are “to firstly show that intimate gatherings can be both luxurious and considered and secondly to celebrate and embrace fashion and modern English romance.”
