They say inspiration can be found everywhere; in the 17th-century hôtel particulier, Hôtel de Bouillon, and the luxury hotel inside the grounds of the Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle—where this shoot was captured by Molly Carr—it needn’t be “found,” it is staring you down in the face. Of course, this isn’t without the help of Jennifer Fox Weddings, who brought the design and styling to life.
The pastiche-y backgrounds, peppered with stunning florals by Kaleb Norman James and Michelin Star delicacies by Alain Ducasse, save for the cake, done by MonAnnie Cakes, are quite simply perfect for complementing the glowing bridal beauty look by Alejandra Nerizagal and haute couture dresses by Elie Saab. The iconic French setting was also ideal for punctuating some of our favorite pieces that feel as at home on the Upper East Side as they do in Marie Antoinette’s gardens: from whimsical barrettes, necklaces, and earrings by Jennifer Behr to dreamy Alexandra Pijut dresses, specifically the Slyvie and Cloud and, of course, pristine SteamLine luggage sets, a warm reminder never to forget the journey is just as important as the destination, especially when it applies to one’s most special day.
