I immediately started working off of the notion that the dress code was to dress like the surroundings.” Her first source of inspiration? Everyone’s favorite New England summertime blossom: hydrangeas. “In Newport, they are iconic and bloom as big as your head, with petals ranging in hues of whites and periwinkles to cornflower blues with hints of free,” notes Natalie. “Not to mention they make for quite the Insta-worthy photo backdrop.” There’s also a very Americana vibe to this cute coastal city, which mixed with the salty air calls for some preppy, nautical elements.
