What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

After dating for about three years, ELLE Digital Director Claire Stern Milch wed David Milch, founder and principal of Green Jacket Ventures, on March 16, 2024, at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. She walked down the aisle in a custom Andrew Kwon strapless dress. In addition to sharing a few special snaps from her wedding day, Claire is also breaking down her Dream Over The Moon Registry picks.

When asked to describe her aesthetic, Claire responds, “Simple, and I like to think elegant. I prefer contemporary pieces with clean lines and a neutral color palette that are comfortable and built to last. We like our apartment in the West Village very much and intend to stay there as long as possible.”

On the topic of living in Manhattan, everyone in the city knows that space is of the utmost importance—and Claire and David are no different. “I tend to gravitate toward items with storage, like consoles, baskets, and trays,” she explains. In the kitchen, this translates especially with the Capresso coffee maker that also has a built-in grinder.

And where does the ELLE digital director turn for interior design inspiration? “Homebody by Joanna Gaines,” Claire reveals. “She has impeccable taste.”

When it comes to merging home décor with her husband, Claire shares that they’ve found a happy medium between her penchant for mid-century modern design and furniture from his bachelor days. Claire laughs, “The pleather sofa had to go!”

“And along with the rest of the country, we’ve recently taken up pickleball,” Claire admits. “It’s gotten pretty competitive.” The Short Court Doubles Bundle will only up their game as newlyweds..

Claire leaves us with her best advice for couples making their own Over The Moon Registries: “Schedule time to do it together. Also, be willing to compromise: Combining decorating styles can be tricky. Try to create a space that incorporates both of your aesthetics.”
