More than three years after Over The Moon Bride Annika Moffett and John Moffett exchanged vows at their summer Hudson Valley wedding, the happy couple welcomed their first baby, Margot Elisabeth Moffett, on the morning of September 5, 2024. Six months later, we’re getting a glimpse at Margot’s adorable nursery and her mom’s Dream Baby Registry.

“I envisioned our nursery to be a warm, feminine, and slightly whimsical space,” Annika shares. “We painted the walls a soft, neutral pink and chose floral pink and green fabrics from Schumacher.” The new mom added sweet accessories like the embroidered crib sheet and crib skirt and a personalized ruffle pillow to make the space her own.

Margot’s wardrobe mirrors this same sensibility. “Coming from a family of women, I’ve always embraced femininity, so her wardrobe is filled with ruffles, frills, and an abundance of soft knits—everything that feels both precious and comfortable,” Annika shares.

With half a year of motherhood under her belt, Annika admits she’s gained a world of perspective about those early days and the products that get one through them. “When selecting items for my Dream Registry, I focused first on practicality,” she shares. “I made sure to include essentials we use every day, like the Ultimate Baby Essentials Kitit has every tool you could possibly need—the gentle bath set we rely on daily, and the seagrass changing basket that makes those late-night diaper changes just a bit more pleasant.”

Speaking of even more products that were in constant use during those first few months, the Coterie diapers were a standout. “They’re by far the softest on the market,” Annika states. “We also love the Nanit monitor, as the app is super intuitive across all devices, and we even got an extra for travel. I may check it more than I should! Another must-have is our Petite Keep trunk. I wanted a dedicated, beautiful space to store all of Margot’s keepsakes, like the outfit she wore when we brought her home from the hospital. It’s the perfect solution for storing these precious mementos.”

Once the essentials were covered, the new mama added a few special touches that make a nursery feel like a cherished space to grow up in, including the heart-shaped frame, a hand-painted brush to use as part of the bedtime ritual, and a bonded leather, illustrated edition of Alice in Wonderland, one of Annika’s favorite books.

She leaves us with her key advice for parents-to-be making their Over The Moon Baby Registries: “There are so many products out there, so I’d recommend relying on one or two mothers whose style—both in parenting and aesthetic—you truly admire to help guide your decisions. Don’t stress about having everything ready before the baby arrives. You really need less than you think, and you can always order what you didn’t anticipate needing once your baby is here and you have a clearer sense of what’s missing.”
