It’s the Oscars of fashion! The party of the year! The biggest fashion event of the season! Yes, the Met Gala has arrived and we’ve now seen all of the celebs in their breathtaking dresses make their way up the steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This year’s theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” gave designers plenty of opportunities to create ethereal, otherworldly looks for the Met’s storied red carpet. And thankfully, that religious bent meant that many bridal-ish looks were worn as well—albeit somewhat more avant-garde than what we usually see coming down the aisle.
