Danielle Frankel Bridal Fall 2020

By Shayna Seid

Finalist of the 2019 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, and one of our favorite bridal labels, Danielle Frankel presented its latest collection at PUBLIC Hotel with a performance from the amazing pianist Chloe Flower. Designer Danielle Hirsch says that with each season, she looks to build upon the last but remain in the overall story of the brand. This season I referenced photographs of fisherman from the 1920s, antique lingerie techniques, and a family heirloom—a sterling silver belt my great-great grandfather gave to my grandmother in Mexico in the 1930s,Hirsch explains. Each look reads like a young woman developing her sense of style—borrowing her mothers vintage gloves but mixing with her own discoveries. At Over The Moon, we cannot get enough of the second look in the slideshow above. That sweater is just SO good (were adding to our mental shopping carts already), and when styled with the bustier and lace-up skirt, its truly a look that encompasses the old and the new, the vintage and the contemporary aesthetic that makes Danielle Frankel so captivating.
