“Initially, I thought I’d wear vintage to my rehearsal dinner. Or make something myself,” says Danielle Snyder, the co-founder and designer of the fashion and accessories brand Dannijo. After she and her now husband Brandon hosted an elegantly laid-back wedding weekend on Harbour Island, orchestrated by event planner Michelle Rago, the two set off on a whirlwind honeymoon adventure that took them from Maldives to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and then Lake Como. But before the nuptials and their first big trip as a married couple, there was the rehearsal dinner, and the rehearsal dinner dress.

Images of Danielle in her fitted lace look with a something blue ribbon accent at the waistline first started popping up on Instagram at the very beginning of her wedding weekend, and from the moment we saw it, we were smitten. “I didn’t know I’d wear Brock Collection, but I’ve always loved Laura and Kris’s work,” says the bride. “I stumbled upon this dress and was immediately obsessed with the Chantilly lace and tie-up back. It was sort of exactly what I was looking for even though I didn’t know what I wanted! And, once I found it, I knew I could tweak the fit slightly and add something blue to the waistline to make it totally me.”

To do this, Danielle worked with tailor Lars Nord. He added the light blue ribbon to the waistline, per Danielle’s instructions, as well as altered the dress so that it fit her like a glove. She then used the excess fabric to make a Dannijo headband to wear after the wedding weekend as a little memento.

On the night of the dinner, she tied a cream ribbon in her hair and accessorized with even more Dannijo hair pins. “I made a Pinterest board of my favorite hair styles, and this is a hybrid of all of my favorite looks,” she says. “I worked with Owen Gould for hair, and he just got me and my references.”

As for whether or not she’ll wear the dress again? All signs point to yes as she danced the night before her wedding.

“I definitely will,” Danielle adds. “It’s timeless, elegant, easy—and most importantly, comfortable!” If we were her, we’d break it out for every anniversary here on out.
