The dress is one thing, but the shoes you wear to walk down the aisle should be just as much a work of art. With its latest drop, Jimmy Choo makes that fantasy a reality. The house’s new Bridal Collection features an entirely crystal-adorned pump, sculptural sandals and accessories realised in an ice blue hue. 

As ever, Jimmy Choo deftly blends classic and modern influences. Its silhouettes are timeless, but each new design has a unique contemporary twist. The new range includes delicate strappy sandals, modern wedges, sculptural anklet accents, and more. There are also patent leather loafers finished with crystal tassels and velvet drivers for style-conscious grooms. Of course, there are subtle nods to love throughout the collection, the Azia 95, for example, features a signature distinctive double strap inspired by a kiss.

However, it’s the exquisite combination of exceptional style and craftsmanship that sets the collection’s pièce de résistance apart. The aptly-named Crystal Slipper, is a wearable piece of art. Available in 85 and 110-mm heel heights, each pair is meticulously hand-embellished with nearly 13,000 Swarovski crystals—right down to the soles —and features a deep violet lining that reflects the luminosity of the stones themselves. A curved upper is reminiscent of Rococo-era court shoes, while the vamp, which is adorned with a cluster of heart-shaped crystals, is evocative of romance. This spectacular design is a modern fairy-tale shoe.

Elsewhere, pearls embody playful opulence, as showcased by a selection of this season’s standout styles. Inspired by the concept of haute jewelry, Ottilia 90 is a strappy Nappa leather sandal finished with a sculptural anklet clasp, featuring a pearl on one side and, on the other, a larger sphere finished with 167 hand-placed crystals.

And while some styles are iterations of classic Jimmy Choo bridal shoes, this covetable collection proposes something brand-new as well: a new ‘ice blue’ hue. “The ice blue pieces make the perfect ‘something blue’ for modern brides who want to stay true to their personal style,” says creative director Sandra Choi. In the new collection, the color plays out  across shoes and accessories, including a pleated satin clutch and the classic Bon Bon bag with a Swarovski-studded handle.

Despite the attention-grabbing qualities of its artistic new collection, at Jimmy Choo, “it’s all about the bride,” Choi says. “We are just honored to be part of such a special moment in her life.”
