Shoe Brand Margaux Launches a New Bridal Line and Charleston Pop-Up

By Shayna Seid

Margaux, the go-to ballet slipper specialist with wear-everyday styles and made to measure sizing, has launched Atelier Margaux, a new service where modern brides can design their own wedding shoe. But that’s not all! Margaux has also opened a pop-up in Charleston for customers to experience the atelier in-person, as well as browse the brand’s classic collections.

Through the online or in-person atelier, brides start their bespoke experience by selecting a silhouette, such as The City Sandal or The Pointe, then colors for the outside and lining. Margaux then offers the option to add a personalized touch in the form of initials or a special date to commemorate the special occasion.

As for the summer-time Charleston pop-up, the shop will be open through June and will host exciting partners and events throughout its tenancy at 444 King Street. Recently, Julia Engel stopped by with her Gal Meets Glam Collection to help style an ideal warm-weather look.

At the end of this month, illustrator extraordinaire Happy Menocal will also be in-store twice to mingle and showcase her new collaboration line with Margaux. The capsule collection, which will be available in the Over The Moon shop starting on May 29th, will include three pointed-toe flats in exclusive patterns featuring lily-of-the-valley and picot ribbon motifs, all designed and hand-painted on rich satin by Menocal herself. On Thursday, May 30th there will be cocktails with Menocal from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and the next day, she’ll be hand painting monograms on shoes—talk about bespoke! Head over to the Margaux pop-up or peruse their new Atelier Margaux collection now. Supporting these amazing female entrepreneurs has never been easier.
