Oscar de la Renta Bridal Fall 2022

A bride’s wedding wardrobe is far bigger than the big day—she also needs something special for a host of wedding-adjacent events, from the bachelorette party to the rehearsal dinner, and perhaps even a second dress for the reception. Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2022 Bridal collection was created with this in mind, as the legendary fashion house focused on pre- and after-party realms to deliver plenty of new styles worth celebrating.

With 10 pieces in total, there is no shortage of options to suit a range of personal preferences and every event on a bride’s agenda. Minimalistic floor-length gowns ran next to thigh-skimming cocktail dresses with a fashion-forward slant. The shorter hemlines were further rounded out by a faille number with a nude tulle bodice embroidered with small leaves that blossomed into a voluminous bell skirt.

Flowers are quintessentially Oscar, and this season, the signature detail sprouted up in thread-work embroidery and metallics that adorned edgy party frocks reminiscent of those worn by Oscar de la Renta’s own Co-Creative Director Laura Kim and model Kaia Gerber. Meanwhile, brides looking to channel Billie Eilish’s Old Hollywood glamour at the 2021 Met Gala can do so in a corseted gown and countless layers of tulle—then slip into a modified version of the pop superstar’s after-party attire replete with a matching cape for the final send-off.

Other looks proved that, sometimes, lace is more—as seen applied to a ball gown and a sexy off-the-shoulder dress with an embroidered veil. The long-sleeve Chantilly lace dress finished with a Watteau train will make an equally chic statement going down the aisle. In turn, the assortment of lace, tulle, and silk faille styles promised to collectively fulfill a bride’s desire to feel her most fashionable by giving her everything she needs to create the ultimate Oscar de la Renta wedding trousseau.
