You’ve got the ring, you’ve narrowed down bridesmaids, and you found the dress, what’s next? Kick back and have some fun at your bachelorette party! But where to go with the girls, you ask? Bride-to-be Carolina Roberts celebrated her upcoming wedding with an island bachelorette party in St. Barth’s, and she’s sharing her itinerary with us!
Before going to the Caribbean island, only one of her bridesmaids had been, so mostly everyone was in for a surprise. “From the Evian-clear waters to the can’t-beat culinary scene, impeccable shopping, French culture, barefoot beaches, and of course the legendary nightlife (and ‘day-life,’ shoutout to Nikki Beach), there’s truly no other place like it in the world,” says Carolina.
What To Pack
For an ideal St. Barth’s bachelorette fête, pack sun hats, sunglasses, breezy maxi dresses, going out wear, flat shoes for cobblestones, cover and swimsuit combos, wide leg pants, and crop tops! All of Carolina’s friends got mini sequin totes, personalized with their initials, from COLORES by Kathryn Swain which made for the perfect beach bags.
Where They Stayed
After landing from the Tradewind private chartered flight, the group stayed in two separate villas at the top of a hill, not far from each other—Villa Wine Note and Villa W View. It was such an ideal bachelorette pad set-up, with chic and breezy living spaces and views for days. With help from onefinestay’s Kelley McClinton and Premier Properties St Barth’s Laura Chappoën, Carolina’s vision for accommodation was brought to life.
Where They Ate
Now, let’s talk about food. “I think I can speak for the whole group when I say we’ll be dreaming about those meals for months to come,” says the bride-to-be. The first stop after landing was La Guérite, a Mediterranean spot right by the water, with additional locations in Cannes and St. Tropez. “Everything we ordered from the menu was absolutely amazing—make sure to get the sliced octopus and moules-frites (my personal favorite)!” The next morning, everyone headed to the Gustavia Fish Market and ate the freshest seafood caught that morning. The tuna tacos are highly recommended. Once everyone had arrived on the island from different flights, the first big dinner was held at the beachside restaurant Pearl Beach. The next day, the group ate at Shellona for Greek appetizers. Pro-tip: wear swimsuits with coverups to lunch, so you can head straight to the beach clubs after.
And after lounging, dinner was served at Bonito (where another OTM wedding was held!). “There’s a famous drink there called ‘Sex In The Bath’ that’s served in a literal tiny bathtub (rubber ducky included) with coconut foam milk,” shares Carolina. The last dinner out was Tamarin, tucked perfectly between ponds and bamboo gardens. “I recommend for sure getting the burrata to start and the dark chocolate soufflé to end.” To end things on a high-note, the ladies had a Sunday fun day at Nikki Beach with giant sushi boats and tons of rosé. “After dancing in the Caribbean heat for a while, you’re sure to get hot, so we would run a few steps out to the shore (rosé glass in hand), take a dip, and then run right back up to the table!”
Where They Partied
Le Ti was by far Carolina’s favorite late-night club. “We had a great table and amazing service, and never stopped dancing, but the best part was later in the night, when the crew whisked us away to a secret back room by surprise and dressed us up in costumes,” she says. Bagatelle also deserves a mention, where the women cheers’d more times than they could count. During the day, they headed on a boat cruise that stopped by Pearl Beach and a rumored “enchanted” area called Saline that is clear and famously salty.
Where They Shopped
One morning, before the boat cruise, the group headed down to the heart of Gustavia and shopped all the cute boutiques right on the water, including Volver, Clic, Poupette St Barth, and Sunday Saint Tropez. “There were of course the classics luxury storefronts such as Prada and Cartier, but we stuck to local boutiques and scored some truly beautiful finds. There’s also a local body oil sold at the St. Barths pharmacy that does wonders to your skin, called Ligne St Barth,” Carolina shares.
