Our June Digital Cover bride, Elaina Fagan Darden, scoured Over The Moon for her real-life wedding registry, so who better to share her Dream Registry picks post-I dos? Elaina is also a talented interior designer and artist who shares our love of heritage pieces, colorful tablescapes, and “classic with a twist” fashion. She describes her aesthetic as “traditional, cheerful, and layered.”
“My mom created a very organized list that outlined each item I might want to register for, so I worked my way through that list, searching Over the Moon to find the perfect selection for each item,” the San Antonio–based tastemaker shares of how she created her own wedding registry. “It’s hard not to get sidetracked with all the fun options, but the list helped keep me focused!”
Since Elaina has a technical background in interior design and worked with Jan Showers, she starts with a floor plan when decorating her spaces. “It’s all about layering in the elements that make it beautiful and personal: vintage furniture, color, pattern, sentimental items and collections—and always lots of books!” she says.
When it comes to the world of interiors, Elaina and her husband Wyatt Darden, fortunately, see eye to eye. “Wyatt is adventurous, and I’m an aesthetic junkie, so he usually trusts my vision and lets me run with it!” Elaina says. “He doesn’t object often, so when he does, I’ll pivot. I’m currently working on talking him into a pale pink bedroom. He hasn’t objected yet!”
For her Dream Registry, Elaina focused on curating the perfect tablescape. “I love collecting, so I aimed to create a classic yet fun scheme for setting a beautiful table that can be built on over time,” she shares. “I’ve had my eye on the battery-powered Zaffareno lamps forever, and they are such a good registry add!”
The bride received the GreenPan pink Padova set from her actual wedding registry. “I swear, cooking in pink pots and pans makes it more fun!” she adds. The Laboratorio Paravicini Gardens dinner plates also made the list. “[They’re] easy to dress up or down and mix with a pop of color. Green is neutral in my book.” Adding: “Since we’re dreaming, I had to include a dream mirror by Fleur Home!”
