What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Merchandising editor of ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar, marketer, and blogger Corey Golden is getting married on June 11, 2022 in her grandparents’ backyard in Westhampton Beach. The Upper East Side-based editor has a great eye, and we knew she was perfect to put together a Dream Registry for us.

Like many modern couples, she met her fiancé, Brian, on a dating app, and in May 2021, he got down on one knee. “I’d describe our wedding style as beach romance meets Hamptons elegance,” Corey says. “My grandparents’ home is on the water surrounded by lots of flowers and beach grass, so the goal is to enhance the natural beauty. I’m definitely not an all-white wedding type of gal, so expect fun pops of color!”

While her wedding will be filled with bright colors, Corey and Brian’s city apartment is filled with ivories, whites, and grays. “I love mixing metals, patterns, and textures to create a space that is cozy, warm and inviting,” she explains. And the bride-to-be finds her design inspiration in the pages of ELLE Decor, Architectural Digest, Veranda, and House Beautiful.

For her Dream Registry, Corey “wanted to incorporate natural woven elements…to bring a little bit of the Hamptons to NYC—but not too much, where it feels out of place in a city apartment,” she states. “I’m excited to have our friends over and entertain, so I mostly focused on the kitchen!”

Corey is also “obsessed with the vintage feel of SteamLine Luggage.” “It’s the perfect registry gift to take you from the honeymoon to all your future travels as a married couple!” she exclaims. And speaking of travel, an Assouline destination book is never a bad idea. Corey added the Hamptons Private hardcover, in honor of her wedding destination.

Finally, Corey leaves us with this advice for couples putting together their registries for the first time: “We moved in together before we got engaged, so we had already purchased a lot of the ‘typical’ registry gifts. Don’t be afraid to branch out with non-traditional choices, like a beautiful set of luggage for the honeymoon. I also think the registry is a great time to upgrade pieces that get a lot of everyday use, especially in the kitchen.”
